Werewolf Or Not To Werewolf?

So ever since I found out you could become a werewolf in this game I wanted to become one. However, that has never really seemed to pan out, as in all my time playing this, I have never once gotten to the lv. 40 range you need to be in order to do it. I'm beginning to wonder now if I should even continue to try becoming one anymore. The issue I have really is on how difficult it is to become one. If memory serves, you have to be at lv. 30-40 to do it, because that's the area the one very rare, and random wolf that can infect you will spawn. Even then it's completely random of where he'll show up and when. Not to mention that the following quest for it have very high level enemies in it as well But by that point in the game, you're pretty much at the end of it.

I know you could always try to become one sooner, but again, then you have to be lucky enough to find someone willing to bite you. Which it's been my experience, that most that are willing, will usually want a huge amount of gold for doing it. Then you still have to complete the quest afterward while being at a low level. Or try going into the high level area where the one wolf will spawn, and hope to get bit, but not instantly killed by it, if you can even find it. So is it worth me trying to become one early on enough in the game, that I can actually enjoy using it for a good part of it? Versus waiting until I'm already in the late game, and only having a little of the story left, and not getting to use it as much.

Then there is the sheer cost of how much ultimate it takes for the transformation ability. Even with using other abilities to help you gain ultimate faster, can you even use other ultimates and still be able to have enough to use the transformation when you need it?

You search and search for something, never realizing it is within and always has been. You can not find it, you can not understand it, you simply accept, and believe, and it will grow. - Heretic's Faith, Randall N. Bills

There are plenty of WW players that will just give you a nibble so you can skip the entire "finding the WW NPC" portion out of the equation, just give a /shout in chat and more than likely someone will be able to turn you.

The Quest itself isn't particularly difficult. Even at low levels, it possible to do, just tricky and time consuming as opposed to if you were leveled to the content. You'll always be limited to the same 2 abilities for the quest regardless of level so really leveling will only give you some more stats/higher level gear. The gist of the quest is to find some creature (Mammoth, Wamasu, etc.) kill it and howl over the dead body and you're a full Fledge WW.

As for the pros vs cons, there really isn't very many on either side.

    Pros
15% stamina regen with WW Ultimate Slotted
    Great Burst Damage
Unblockable Fear skill combos well with the other WW skills and can lead to a great many kills in PvP
    Decent Self Healing ability

    Cons
Weakness to poison in WW form
Limited to only WW skills, which makes you overly predictable in PVP
    Ultimate costs a lot
    High costing abilities
    On a Timer

Despite the odds slightly favoring the Cons, I've thoroughly enjoy playing WW just because it provides something different. It's given me the burst in need when I really need and it's just overall a fun thing to mess around with from time to time.

If you own or you are planning to buy imperial city dlc, you just must try WW there. Its only pvp area where you can be werewolf as long as you want. And using imperial physique when in ww form, your stats are just crazy high.

in general I do not understand how you can play the role of a slave.
Werewolf- enslaved soul. Like a zombie. He is a doll in the hands of Hircin.

I'm a free adventurer, playing easily, without conditionality and tension. I'm not a slave to anyone.

You do not have to be level 30 or 40 to do the quest :)
You can complete the quest at level 10 if you get the mammoth or wamasu boss. It's a random spawn. If you get the snake or troll, you can leave Hircine's realm for 5 mins and a new one will spawn.
If you are on PC/EU my werewolf guild members will bite you for free. If you're on another platform, I might be able to refer you to another free bite guild :) It is indeed quite hard to find a wild werewolf to get your bite. But NEVER pay a player for a bite. There is no need.

With One Tamriel, you can do the quest at lvl 3. You are/will be scaled to all content if you play on PC/console.
