Best way to get back into the game?

So I played at release, and leveled a DK and Sorc to 50, but quit around the time of that first pve expansion zone with all the trials. Looking at maybe getting back into ESO because I've always loved Cyrodiil and the constant 24/7 persistent pvp zone, as it's the closest thing to DAOC RvR that I've played. I tried just starting back up with my sorc, but honestly I felt completely lost.

Thinking about starting a new NB and learning the game again. My biggest questions before doing that though are:

Will I be so far behind in CP that I'll always be fodder in Cyrodiil? I think right now I have like 23 points to spend in each of the CP trees, so not much.

What is the best way to get geared up for Cyrodiil? I think this is my biggest question mark, as I have no idea what the best way for a solo player to gear up these days would be.

What is the best NB spec these days for leveling/pvp?

Thanks

Bear in mind that starting a new character will not get you any CP until it hits level 50.

Get the xp bonus from the Festival going on. Look in the Crown Store and get the free Whistle and do that quest. Then use the Memento for each character and do the Fighters, Mages and Undaunted guild dailies, maybe the Wrothgar dailies if you have them. Works nicely for both Champion level and non-champ ones.

I'm afraid Cyrodiil is going to be a tad scary til you get some CP but the make-up mechanic will help you get them very quickly. Save up for one really nice purple/gold set for your main character once you're on your feet.

If you're PC/NA send @runagate in-game mail and I'll craft you something nice. I need to know which set combinations you'd like, but nowadays getting one with 2 weapons/3 jewelry, then another 5 armor pieces and 2 undaunted pieces is possible and doesn't take too long, since sets drop according to zone or dungeon.

If you're all about PvP I recommend making a new character, and go straight into PvP at level 10 with him.

It takes a while to rank up in PvP so you'll get a ton of experience

Find a guild for starters since they can be a good resource for doing conetent. Also, be active. The more you play the game the faster you'll get CP.

Also, TF has some good builds listed. While many are listed in these forums it's easier to find them on Tamriel Foundry. Make sure the builds are trial tested if that's your intent. Many builds are what someone has fancied as a good build but are not tested in the more challenging content.

Can you level at a good pace by just doing pvp starting at level 10? And will I be able to gear up for pvp strictly through doing this?

    You'll be fine. Here's why:

    - Gearing up is easier, with so many great sets dropping in Overland zones. You can actually farm reasonable gear solo (though you'll need crafting skills to improve it from blue to purple, etc)
    - Cyrodiil has campaigns for sub-50's, and another campaign with no Champion Points. You won't be facing the maxxed-out folks in PvP unless you choose to do so
    - Dungeons are easier to get in than ever before. They've become more popular because the 'monster sets' are easier to obtain now
    - You'll get the first bunch of CP's fairly quickly. It slows later, but the first chunk goes fast

I just came back myself about 10 days ago. It's working out great. Give it a go :)
