Is skull a 100 percent drop rate from bosses because I've done several and got nothing

So the first 2 bosses I did I got the skull but the third dropped nothing. The next one dropped a skull and again the next one nothing. Is there a hidden timer? I ask because some of these I did really fast and was thinking that either it's a bug or that I'm killing them too fast?

Anyone else had this happen?

There's a timer on the loot. Someone mention it in other threads. Not sure exactly the timing.

Usually, the Cool Down Timer on Boss Loot is about 20 Minutes. I am sure the Skulls are part of the Boss Loot Table so that would apply.

Someone on Reddit is testing this out. As per their finding instanced areas they are experiencing a 3 minute cooldown. Non-instanced areas they are experiencing a cooldown longer than 5 minutes but shorter than 10 minutes.

From what I've seen of other people's finding, it appears there is 100% drop rate... but if you're in non-instanced areas you could easily be getting hit by the cooldown.

20 mins? now is this just for the special festival drop?

I go from WB to WB for spriggan stuff and they drop every time.

The timer on loot is definitely not 20 minutes right now. It seems more like 10, or however exactly long it takes for the boss to respawn without new people entering the room. I am getting a 100% drop rate by waiting for it to respawn normally in such a manner. Did your skeleton buff wear out, maybe? You need to reapply it as soon as it runs out. You also need to do damage or be in a group that's doing damage.

Been farming the skulls for 4 hours now, I get 1 skull every 4-5 boss kills and the boss is on a 30 second spawn timer
So 1 skull every 2-3 mins

From my experience grinding out motifs in gold coast the timer to get loot was between 10 and 15 min

if you are solo on the boss it is every time... if a group every other.... that i have noticed.

Delve bosses have a 8 minute timer not sure about dolems and world bosses.

Gotta be 5 minutes or even a little longer. The bosses that don't drop one have to be less than that.

In Hew's Bane, the bosses had a 5 minute cooldown and the loot cooldown was 8 minutes. From what my friends are reporting, this is less than that.

It almost seems like every other boss spawn drops a skull. On the last delve boss, I did a short test. Six spawns, I got 3 skulls. The boss spawn timer seemed dependent on new vs farm players. When no new players came through on a spawn cycle, it took at least 5 minutes for the boss to pop. When a new player ran through, the boss popped after a minute, as soon as they were in aggro range. This was in an overland solo delve. In a public dungeon, it was every other boss and the spawn cycle was all over the place, with so many players coming and going.

Hopefully I can get some more information doing instanced dungeons this evening.
