Question about the Hollowjack motif comming during Witches festival

I have an another question, and about Hollowjack motif, while it drops from Plunder Skulls during the festival - so lets say I find some motif pages, learn them, but the Amber Marble, the Hollowjack style item also drops from the Plunder skulls, so after the festival, how will I be able to get the Amber Marble to craft it??

Or Mimic stone crown store only? Because if the motif material drops only during the festival, after the festival, it becomes again Crown store exclusive motif, just like Grim Harlequin

This is just too bad ZOS!!!!

You wait until next year until (I'm assuming here) they have the same festival again and you get more style mats.

This festival is like 3 weeks, I'm sure you'll be able to find more than enough style stones to last you.

So far I've gotten daggers, 1h swords, 1h mace, and 3 recipes(2 were duplicate though grr) hit submit too early but yes you have to get the freebie at the crown store to start the whole thing.

Nope. One use lasts 2 hrs. I imagine losing the bones would be an indicator that it's time to reapply.

So far, I'd estimate that the skull drop rate is like 33%.

Ok, so I understand it now, so ZOS not even uses a *** crown store exlusive tactics for motifs, they even use more *** tactics, this is how it goes:

ZOS internal debate:

A:ok, guys, the Crown store Mimic Stones are not selling very well, we have to somehow boost the sales of them

B: ok, lets promote them more

A: no, that is to cheap and obvious, lets do it in a more tricky way: let`s introduce a festival, for 2 or 3 weeks, where we let people farm the motif pages and some style materials (I bet the drop rate of this style material will be very very low, while the drop rate of the motif pages will be much higher than that), but only during the festival. So after it, there will be no other way of crafting that motif, other than by buying the Crown store Mimic stones!!!

B: ***applause*****

This is really a *** tactics ZOS, so you hype us during the festival for the new motif and then cut the style material drops and let us buy your cash cow Mimic stones to be able to craft it???????

This is so ***, that this *** smells from US even to Europe!!!!!

You know what guys, I would not be wondering if the promoted housing (for ingame gold, 30 racial types, furniture crafting....) would be only like basic ugly stuff, basic equipment, basic *** furniture and all the other useful stuff like the real decorations, really nice houses, storage crates, dps tester dummies, gear racks, trophy racks would be all crown store exclusive - I would really not wonder if you ZOS would have an another *** tactics in plan with housing like this after this Witches festival motif faux paux!!!!!!

I was actually thinking along different lines though: for 2200, we got a motif and 54 mimic stones right? Assuming we broke down the value of the mimic stones (without including the cost of the motif) at 2200/54, that puts each stone at 41 crowns right? That's absolutely overestimating too! Let's recall how many mimic stones we got from the crown crates, a 40 crown value! With this new calculation, are we really getting 400 crowns worth of value in each box?

that is "nice", but why would I need some mimic stones?? you can easily farm or buy in the game any style material you need!!!!

Ohh... hmm... I don't think you understand my argument. I agree with you that mimic stones are not needed, since most style materials (except the grim harelequin style materials) can be found in game. That doesn't mean that they will not appear in crown crates, because they will. We've already seen them as a drop in the PTS of the crown crates.

Since the crates cost 400 crowns, this new offer of 2200 for 54 mimic stones and a motif, lowers the value of the mimic stones. Thus, it lowers the value of the contents that can appear in the crown crate, making it less likely that we would get atleast 400 crowns worth of items in each crate.

I wonder, if one creates a Grim Harlequin piece of gear and deconstructs it afterwards, do you still get a Mimic Stone back? Or do you get some other type of style mat?

You have over 2 weeks to farm bosses in literally every dolmen, delve, world boss and dungeon. Just go out and enjoy the holiday event. Its designed to be this way.

Instead of constantly whining on the forums go out and get everything you need. There are events like this in mobile games, and other major MMO's. Holidays do not last forever, so stop expecting the game to cater to you because you wanna complain about everything.

Buy the Grim motif for 2200 crowns and get the mimic stones with them. If not, then move along, if you want it, buy it.

Hollowjack - go farm it and recipes, if you do not find them all, then sell your dups and buy the pages you don't have.

well yes, I agree with you that over the last days I was prety much pissed of about the things happening:
- EU server issue
- broken launcher issue yesterday
- hollowjack motif

I am sorry to post bad vibes here, but I am a human, I get pissed of sometimes

and someone has to give a feedback to ZOS, when they are doing *** things

but ok, anyway, good point, I will just turn of my computer, get a nice cappuccino, nice dinner and enjoy the Witches festival

My question:

In the description of the event, they mention coven/circles of witches in the wilderness summoning monstrosities. This sounds like something great to run across on a foray into the untamed wilds.

Has anyone found any of these Summonings yet?

No worries what so ever. I have see posts that getting the motif is now P2W. I get people are upset with ZOS, I understand even more so players on the EU side of things, but sometimes it seem more that people just wanna be mad and upset over the smallest things, just so they can find something wrong and complain about it.
