I can't say much for vMA as I don't run it on my mDK for simplicity purposes, but for 4man content I would advise running 5pc Burning Spellweave, 2pc Grothdarr, 4pc Moondancer/Infallible (jewels+staff) with a vMA staff offbar. Until you get the jewelry and two staves, you can simply run 2x Crafted Staves in sharpened with Spell DMG glyphs with Willpower jewelry.

For skills you can run:
mainbar: whip, burning embers, engulfing flames, entropy, IL with ult Shooting Star.
offbar: eruption, rearming trap, flames of oblivion, elemental blockade, IL with ult Standard of Might.

Molten Armaments does not buff medium weaving anymore, thus entropy can be more benificial for 4man content, but ultimately you'd run force pulse for trials.
As far as BSW does, do your own testing. You'll see rather quickly that it outperforms Julianos fairly easily. As for if it outperforms TBS in trials, I've yet to make up my mind. It's a close call.
