Crafting surveys in DLC areas and I don't have access

I have always received Craglorn surveys. Now today I get a Wrothgar survey from a writ bag, and I don't have any access to DLC areas. And the survey is bound, so what happens now?

BergisMacBride✭✭✭✭✭I'd submit a /bug and ticket. This is clearly an oversight on the part of ZOS and you deserve to have it addressed in your favor. Heh, at least you got a survey, even if you can't use it - I haven't been able to beg, borrow or steal a survey from a writ after the patch.1 -

✭✭A friend of mine had the same issue this morning, he has only just come back to the game and could not do his surveys because he does not have the DLC zones. Surely they should make it so that the surveys are in areas you have access to, or it begins to feel a little like 'pay to win' My friend lives in a country in which the DLC are allot more expensive than they are here in the UK, and so he cannot afford them. I felt really bad for him this morning... I almost feel tempted to buy the wrothgar DLC for him, just so that he can complete his surveys
