Motifs, loot and crafted sets. Dear ZOS, pls read.

So its pretty obvious most ppl are unsatisfied with the sets you can get from crafting, theres a few exceptions, but overall they are underwhelming by far. With all the awesome new sets you can get from zones etc, they all drop in a given set type and cant be changed. So my issue is, specially with crown store motifs...why should I buy the grim harlequin motif if I can only apply it to my crafted sets (wich I dont use). If I use for instance Spriggan set and Seventh legion set for the unforseeable future...why would I ever buy the grim harlequin motif?

You should really implement some kind of motif change to dropped/looted sets. Just a little business advice.

Crafters have got what I would call the short end of the stick for two DLC's and one game updates now.

As far as plans to transmorph gear, they (developers) said in reditt chat last month they have no plans to add it.

Of course that was last month and plans change but the verbiage they use when they are working on things behinds the scenes they just don't want to tell us about is usually a lot different.

So my guess is they are not currently working on it.

Which means even if they added it in the further the earliest you could see it on test is six months and 9 months on live at the earliest.

Unless they are throwing red herrings and plan to to surprise us at Christmas but I'm It planning on being surprised

Or like Crown Store Book: Volume 1 that allow us like Imperial Edition to change gear for Glass for example.
Each book volume to grant separate style to change gear.

I would prefer if crafters got a bone and could craft a motif change tool wich could change the motif of any gear piece (one time use per tool)

I'm predicting something will happen in Update 13 which will address the complete lack of interest in motif's and crafting and the flow on effects.

Either outfits like in lotro or changing the craft styles of items. Something to change and zos has to know it.

Hope youre right. One thing is sure, motifs...crown bought or not, will be alot more interresting if we can change the look of our items.

Lets for arguments sake say a player wants to use Spriggan and Draugr hulk sets now, its completely irrelevant how many cool motifs are released in the crown store or other sources because this guy cant benefit from them anyway, unless he completely changes his choice of gear and abandones his build and quite possibly gimps himself.

This would ofc be better then it currently is, but I would prefer if crafters was thrown a bone here.

Even if I could change appearances between known gear only - as in if I can craft it, I can change appearance to match it - that would be awesome.

Would also like for there to be a way to craft some more sets - I know they want to restrict some to special places, but some are also just random treasure drops.

    @olsborg

    Don't buy it. No worries.

Not everyone wears all dropped gear. Many will get the motif.
