Soul Assault - Not Bashable?

Have not had this skill used on me for a loooong time. Yesterday, several people were spamming it. But i found that i seemed unable to bash it? As i recall, Soul Assault is bashable, yes? Am i remembering incorrectly, did i miss a patch note or ?

Only counter now is blocking or breaking line of sight. The caster has cc immunity and it can't be bashed.

Ah yes, just found it myself as well. Guess there is nothing at all you can do now, except run away. Except it still applies that 70% snare right? So... We are left with block then. Yay...

Soul Strike:
This ability can no longer can be purged or interrupted, but can now be blocked.
You will now be immune to CC while channeling this ability.
Increased the damage from this ability by 15%.
This ability now prevents your target from entering stealth and invisibility for 2 seconds.

I run SA on my magicka Nightblade and you know what? I still kill things slower than I do with my stamina Nightblade running Viper and Incapacitating Strike.

Burst damage is always better than a channel in pvp. Also I feel soul assault got nerfed because it can be blocked now I won't be using it anymore

If you are stamina blocking this is nothing and LoS will stop the channel immediately . I have yet to see any huge damage numbers from this Ult .

Yeah, if you let them defend against it it's awful. You've got to line them up for it to get the most out of it.

Basically the perfect Xv1 skill now.

Dmg is too high not too block (i'll hit 80k tooltip on my mag sorc) , stamina gets ripped if you do, 70% snare means you easy ap for the zerg.

Soul Assault is great and everything but you immediately become a target whilst using it and are open to attack throughout the duration of the channel time.

This is actually the biggest problem with it. One of the reasons why I went with Shatter Soul instead. 2.9 seconds is a bit less noticeable than 3.9 seconds.

Just block, heal or LoS it. It really isn't that strong to be honest. In group play it is, but in 1v1 there are better ults to use. It is more of an Xv1 skill.

You are correct however healing and blocking take resources. I primarily use it so that people are forced to do so. I also try to use it close up to cut down LoS.

Unless I'm in Azuras, you're not going to run me out of resources using this ult. It has its uses, and can still be a strong ult. Just in 1v1 I think you're better off with a meteor > CC > dps combo. Or EotS, which is super strong in all situations.

I'm not saying it is a trash ult. I'm just saying if I had the choice between this, or having magicka dawnbreaker back. I'd take magicka dawnbreaker 10 times out of 10.
