Short questions about shipments of material that given as reward for crafting writs.
1. Why are they not in consumable tab of inventory?
2. Why are they not affected by auto-loot option?
3. And why they exist as packages rather than unpacked immediately?
4. Is there some addon that auto-loot them?

A better question is why are the useless to for max level crafters? As it stands only my Alts do writs to level it's a non logical material sunk.
Just made use of some of those mats today for an alt and friend's characters - I appreciate that they added those!kendellking_chaosb14_ESO wrote: »Short questions about shipments of material that given as reward for crafting writs.

The least they could do is make them raw mats.
The least they could do is make them raw mats.
I've been thinking some more about this after discussing writ rewards with a friend. Surveys are now reduced and these shipments of refined mats appear with 1T and are way more common. Often the refined mats are of cheaper material than what was used in the writ itself (survey was at least mats equivalent to crafter skill). This is removing one of the reasons we do writs - surveys of larger concentrations of raw mats - equivalent ones to the crafter harvesting them. With the reduction of surveys comes a reduction of raw mats, comes a reduction of chances to get tempers.
Whatever was wrong with things how they were?
Well, I'm starting to smell a whole sewer full of skeevers here with $ signs in their eyes...
What's the betting that gold tempers end up in the crown store - or even worse, those rotten gamble crates?
If that is the case... well, Skyrim remastered is out soon and I want to play through it again with my main vamp guy. Lots of other games nipping at my attention right now that cost me nothing...
Here's the deal as I understand it:
1. They halved the survey drop rate
2. They doubled the mats returned from a survey
3. They added a crate of refined mats when you don't get a survey
So, the average raw mat return from surveys should remain the same, and they "buffed" the writs with some lower-level refined mats to help crafters deal with the inability to harvest those lower-level mats anymore.
I believe there was another patch note that said they "nerfed" the clothier survey plant yield to be in line with that returned for other mat types.
I need at least 2 weeks to make a more informed decision. But so far, ive been doing 6 writs per toon on 8 toons since One tamriel update. So far, its been barely breaking even with a slight drop in how often I find gold mats..... Maybe bad RNG. Ill know in about a week or 2s time if these are still worth it. So far tho... they just seem like a time sink to barely break even.
