Theorycrafting on new sets

I'm working during the day, and we have house guests who are helping with renovations until late next week, so won't be in the game much until they're gone.

I have a few questions that if anyone tests I'd appreciate answers related to the following sets:

1. The Selene monster set - When you deal direct melee damage, you have a 15% chance call on a primal spirit that mauls the closest enemy in front of you for 12000 Physical Damage. If you get a killing blow with melee damage, does the primal spirit still get spawned and can it hit someone else? If you deal direct melee damage to someone behind you or to the side of you and the primal spirit is spawned, what is the range at which it can maul an enemy? Will the spirit potentially go "up" to the top of a wall if that'st he closest enemy in front of you? Do caltrops still count as direct melee damage? They used to, though I've not checked / confirmed since TG hit in February. There's a lot of potential to abuse this with a small group if you position correctly, and on PTS the range was longer than from Nikel to the palisades to the north.

EDIT: A few people have tested and confirmed that the maul is melee range only now and does not proc from caltrops.

3. Sentinel of Rkugamz - When you heal a friendly target, you have a 10% chance to summon a dwemer spider that heals for 1049 Health and restores 524 Stamina to you and your allies within 5 meters every 1 second for 8 seconds. How much health does the spider have now?

EDIT: Similar to Engine Guardian.

4. Pirate Skeleton - When you take damage, you have a 6% chance to transform into a skeleton and gain Major Protection and Minor Defile for 12 seconds, reducing your damage taken by 30% but reducing your healing receieved by 15%. Did they fix the issue where your champion points that increase the effectiveness of healing reduction affected the 15%? This is potentially a great set for the defile builds, though it was additive (15% + 25%) with full champion points on PTS reducing your healing received by 40% instead of multiplicative (like most other things). I believe it shouldn't have applied at all - but #ZOSLogic.

EDIT: Not confirmed yet.

4. IceHeart - When you deal Critical Damage, you have a 20% chance to gain a damage shield that absorbs 8600 damage for 6 seconds. Have they added a cooldown to this? Huge AoE (even Templar ritual that does damage and removes 2 negative effects instead of the morph that removes 5) makes this very, very insane..

EDIT: Cooldown is 6 seconds, so not as good as without cooldown. The sheet I read didn't have the cooldown listed..

5. Robes of the Hist - Reduces the duration of all disabling effects applied to you by 20%. While you are affected by a disabling effect, heal for 2000 Health every 1 second. Has anyone combined this with Reactive? Does it make people pull their hair out in frustration? Has Unru been triggered?

EDIT: Unru has not yet been triggered.

7. Trinimac's Valor - When you cast a damage shield on an ally, you have a 20% chance to call down a fragment of Trinimac that heals you and your allies for 3667 Health and damages enemies for 3667 Magic Damage in a 5 meter radius. This effect can occur once every 5 seconds. Is this still multiple-proc'ing on barrier? Is this still guaranteed proc'ing with no cooldown if you have a healing ward on yourself when you cast barrier (anf thus calling down 6 shards at the same time)?

EDIT: Not confirmed yet.

all interesting questions. 1. single target doesnt matter if they die or not it hits the target it procd on. 2 and 3 don't have a clue but doubtful it will be useful in PVP. 4 well just not really worth it. 5 could be very interesting. 6 please recycle.

I'm at work as well, but the tooltip for Iceheart says it can only occur once every 6s.
    mDK will rise again.

@ebethke_ESO Thanks - the tooltip on the spreadsheet I was looking at didn't have the cooldown listed!

I'd rather not discuss things so that people can figure it out for themselves or run around in sub-optimal builds and feed me ap. But that's just me. Not sure why you would want to theory craft the enemies their builds for them. I mean this game is 90% gear 10% skill now.

    2. Tested that set on pts. It runs at the enemy when it procs, and can be killed very easily.

I am happy you did not list some very broken sets that I do not want to see become the meta lol.

@IxSTALKERxI I've been talking publicly about some things that were broken in PTS and that people should think about - the sets and combos that are working as we believe is intended and give a strategic advantage to a group with good synergy and composition I'm keeping to myself for our own groups.

There are a lot of new people playing the game, and I hope that by opening a few discussions like this that they will start to think as we do and become the theory crafters of tomorrow..

Whoohoo. Crown theorycrafting thread. One of the few people that likes to keep information open instead of just keeping it a secret so guilds can use exclusive broken things.

Robes of the Hist however seems like a pretty obvious one. The first time I saw it, I was tempted to make an Argonian templar called "Heals-while-Napping" and equip it with reactive/Hist/Malubeth.

I get tired in cyrodiil during long PvP sessions and it seems relaxing to take a nap and heal up while stunned on your back with everyone attacking you.

The Selene's set procs on ambush. Making the set a potential bombblades tool.
Worth testing to verify (heard it as a rumor).

Some random percentage of the time if you've prayed to the RNG Daedra, the sun is shining, the birds are singing, there is nary a cloud in the sky, the minute of the hour ends in 7, you left the faucet running in the kitchen, you have eaten a cookie in the past 12 minutes, the wind is blowing through the window and ventilating your computer at 3km / hour and your GPU is running at less than 60 degrees, Unru has not been triggered in the past 40 minutes, maintenance was performed in the past four days, there are more than 11 but less than 19 people in your direct field of vision, and you've chanted "All hail the #CrownZerg" three times in the voice of Sheogorath (or however close you can get to it), then maybe, just maybe, you'll get a proc in your favour.

Is it wrong that I feel dirty having written that?

@Yolokin_Swagonborn Thanks! I'm trying to put together my comments on all the PvP relevant sets for a huge update to darkelves.com/eso probably next weekend (Oct 15th/16th).

I'm also trying to get more people - especially the new ones - in the right mind set to theory craft and not just do whatever some 1vPotato streamer decides is the build of the week..

    God's work.

I like getting killed by someone, and being curious about what they used.

I don't like seeing 3 set procs on my death recap after an ambus/incap strike

Unable to get the set yet, but I can't imagine it not. Your own character counts as a friendly target/ally, otherwise BoL would never target yourself based off of it's tooltip wording. Would be nice to have confirmation though.

Still a 15% proc rate is better than 6%. As long as you use other dmg sources, this should only put some icing in the dmg cake.

Think of how much blood spawn or Skoria procs; those are 6% rates.

If it's anything like transmutation, youll have to have some missing health before it procs.

Then if see if it can proc on yourself.
