So when we getting an EU fix for client?

After a lot of issues managed to finally get the client to allow to get to login....then finally got to character screen after more issues, then finally got all my addons and settings restored correctly and working.....only to have been forced on NA server every time I login even though EU Live is selected...so have to waste more time, selecting back and forth 3-4 times until the client finally catches up and allows me to login into EU server......

So ZOS, how long do we have to do this for? A week? A month? or is it just another case of no communication on this except for "we fix it on monday"....."maybe"..."we hope"....

    Current communication is "working on it " and "it will be in an incremental patch". In the meantime, while we have to do the flip-flop toggle from Live to Live-EU every time we start the game, it only takes around 45-90 seconds to update, which isn't too bad in the long run.

    I really feel like client related issues that effect logins to servers should be hot fixed regardless.....

    Not "we fix on monday, promise, maybe.."....only to find again for the 100th time it didn't get fixed...

    Well... that doesn't include the *hours* of explanation needed in TeamSpeak each time a guildie turns up for the 1st time after the patch, freaking out that "his characters have disappeared". (I know it should take less time to explain but you know how it is when it comes to people actually listening to simple instructions...)

    Comments like "it's only 45-90 seconds" lead to "well why bother fixing it?".

    People complain about load screens that are shorter!

    It's a shoddy way to treat your customers, and unfortunately demonstrates that this code was never tested, which is unacceptable...

    "We tested NA access. Why bother testing EU access?"

    Not good enough.

    By definition of a hotfix, I assume it can't be hotfixed, as it most likely requires a code change in the client and hotfixes can't do code changes. And I would assume the fact that it is still actually possible to login with the workaround means it is not a high enough priority for emergency maintenance.

    There is talk (see Dev Tracker) of a hotfix for the Cyrodiil grouping bug possibly coming later this week, so I guess this issue might be addressed then as well. Should that be the case then I confidently predict a rash of posts complaining about the amount of downtime :smiley: !
