Dueling INSIDE Rawlka bank, and other small, indoor public service facilities

The provision to allow dueling anywhere is infringing on others. The bank is already packed with people trying to sort things out and take care of business,. Multiple duels inside banks, crafting rooms, and other public services locations is messing up what is otherwise really fantastic. Love it out in the streets, pain in the rear indoors. Hope ZOS takes a look at putting at least some limits on this.

I agree with this entirely. This kind of dueling is very intrusive.

Please people, can you not duel inside banks and crafting stations? We need peace to craft and sort out our inventories.

I do not support banning duels in towns, but I do think we could compromise and ban dueling in banks.

And by ban I mean prevent.

wait, dueling is really possible even inside of the buildings??? That sucks...and the whole thing of allowing it in the main cities sucks too!!!

ZOS pls, allow dueling only outside of the cities!!!

Don't care for PvE, role playing and what not, but seeing the dueling everywhere is quite jarring.

Hah, duelling inside buildings is a bit much. Then again, it's no different than walking in there and seeing everyone standing on tables spamming abilities like they usually do.

Why am I not surprised ZOS didn't make the effort to listen to the people on the PTS telling them they needed to create "no go zones" for dueling to avoid the grief fest that would emerge if they just went the lazy route and let people do it everywhere.

So often so little effort is made to do things whole-heartedly and with passion anymore.

I mean people are advertising in zone chat "lf more for Rawl bank duel griefing PST" I kid you not. I reported several people for it just this afternoon.

ZOS REALLY dropped the ball on this one.

I mean even Black Griefer Forced PVP Korean Casino Dressup Desert Online has safe zones around cities for Akatosh's sake!

It is, and I love watching people duel inside and just outside of towns, but in buildings is a bit ridiculous. It should be disabled in there.

I really like the random duels erupting just about anywhere too. Adds life to the cities. If flappy birds are welcome in the banks, and ability spam, duels don't really make it a lot worse. There were people dueling in the middle of the elden root bank floor last night and it was entertaining to watch while I was taking care of my writs at the crafting tables there.

Duels don't really affect anyone else and I like the implementation. It's nice to see people engaging and having fun together in an mmo.

So now people are spamming abilities for a reason.

In other words: I prefer people to use abilities for dueling in banks than just standing there spamming them.

You can say this about anything and to prove it I changed everywhere you said dueling with role playing.people who do that when am going to the bank or crafting gear for writs is ridiculous.

Just another day in Mournhold, people spamming abilities like it's the 4th of July.
Only difference now is the dead bodies......oh no, people still killing NPCs for tainted blood so a few more bodies isn't that huge.

Really this is all part of ZOS' master plan. Make dueling inside banks/buildings to annoy players so much that they buy the Banker NPC from the Crown Store so they don't have to travel to town. Soon, they'll introduce a portable crafting station available with crowns so that they'll never be a reason to go to town, apart from picking up dailies.

I am surprised they haven't done anything to prevent this. Surely it is not intended, or did they not think of the repercussions?

Does anyone know how many people one can put on ignore? I'm planning on doing an /ignore for all those I see disrupting the bank and crafting activities on purpose, so that hopefully we'll get put on different instances of the same area.

We PTS testers said it out loud the day PTS was launched : no duelling in towns.
It made it through to live though :/

My guess is that ZOS thinks duelling, to a certain extent, makes the towns more lively (which, according to the forums, quite a bunch of people agree with). So they're waiting to see if the hype and griefing fever cools down in the next few days (in which case they'll do nothing) or if it persists (in which case they'll do something).

They have bigger fish to fry today anyway (that megaserver selection thing is a true PITA).

Don't think it works like that. It merely blocks communication.

It really is annoying. They should be restricted to outside city limits, or in certain parts of a city if it's big enough.

As if Mournhold and other hubs wasn't laggy enough. At least before duelling people eventually got fed up and moved on, with duelling they'll just keep on going.

Good luck standing at an invisible/blacked out NPC waiting minutes for them to render to the game.

Good luck standing at a crafting station, trying to concentrate on making the items someone asked you to while being peppered in sound and light effects.

Good luck standing at your bank/guild store trying to work out inventory and trading while a 3rd world war of ballistics and missiles go off around you.

Good luck trying to find a semblance of immersion while half the server's throwing flame and sparks at each other in the Mournhold marketplace as if it's Cyrodiil all over again.

How *** hard had it been to disable duels right in the middle of trading and shopping hubs for god's sake ...

Roleplay is fine.. Actually, i like seeing RP. But dueling, I find dueling abhorrent and i wish there was a way to turn these people off so i would not have to see them kill eachother and hear the sounds caused by their abilities.

I think the street dueling is sort of fun. You never know whether the person who just slapped you across the face with a glove is going to melt you like a stick of butter in a Sahara Desert ***, or if the challenger will trip over 4 mines and smack his face into a crystal frag in the first 2 seconds.

On a more serious note, it would probably be a reasonable idea to keep the dueling somewhat off the main travel paths so ZOS doesn't come in and limit our dueling options in the future.

Perhaps if dueling remains so popular, ZOS will look into group duels. Yes I know a duel is pedantically 1v1.

A group duel invite from one group leader will prompt the leader of the second group with a message like, "A group of x players challenge your party to a brawl" followed by the standard accept dialog and then the battle royal.

I feel the opposite I like seeing duels everywhere but I hate seeing RP why should ZOS change something just because you don't like it?Why is your opinion and wants more important than my own?Why should Zos change the game just because you don't like something when others don't feel the same?

Like in WoW when players would take out their biggest mounts and sit ontop mailboxes or quest NPCs....or during holiday events.
