350 keys - no krahg divines

Well since the chance of a med divine kragh is 1 in 288, you only really have a 43% chance seeing one with 160 keys... or 70% chance of getting one with 350 keys...

Never got luck how yesterday - got 2 illambris (epaulets, arm cops) divines from 4 keys.
But after this luck I got crap only, and even didn't get Infernal Guardian...

Shoulders you do not want should be a currency. You retain the excitement of opening a chest and hoping you will get your perfect piece. But if not, the unwanted shoulder could be a token/currency that at least brings you a little closer to purchasing what you want. You did not just go through 350 keys. You went through 350 keys and are no closer to the piece you want than when you started. 12 shoulders * 8 traits * 3 weights = 288 possible combinations. So you will not get what you want 287/288 = 99.65% of the time. And no way to trade! And a limited number of chances per day! The heads, on the other hand, are 1 head per dungeon * 8 traits * 3 weights = 24 possible combinations. And you can trade in group. And can run dungeon as many times per day as you want.

The gear grind has gotten a lot better for the most part with recent updates. But Undaunted shoulders and VMA weapons are extreme outliers. The grind has gotten worse for them! They really need to rethink the gear grind for Undaunted shoulders and VMA weapons. It is not just possible, but a mathematical certainty, that some players will go thousands of pledges and VMA runs and still not get what they want. It's crazy.

Could be worse. Could have spent 800+ trophy keys on Planner Armour chests cause the game is fked

But yeah, 2 keys, 2 Llambris shoulders - neither divines - so not complaining there.

RNG is quite something.

I open 30 chests, get 15 shoulders that are either training or prosperous.

I run Vaults of Madness 3 times, and 3 times in a row, I get Light Divines Grothdarr helmet.

The irony is that I wasn't even looking for it... >.>

The lack of a token system for dungeon gear and the terrible RNG trait system has totally put me off end-game, which is a shame. I don't really even bother with dungeons/trials anymore.

I know some people will just do them over and over and over but to me, this should be something attainable within weeks (full set in desired trait) not YEARS.

People have been saying forever that the current RNG system promotes burnout and is the reason people only play for short periods.

Yet every time people have spent days making elaborate write-ups of how to do a cool token system it has been totally ignored.

You forget the harcore audience continues to grind, amongs the forumfighting and rest of the stuff they do with their life.
What for people even need all the superbadass legendary fully pimped gear? to show off like rest of them who have had the stamina and RNG jesus on their side?

Show off doesnt boost permanently your ego or e peen, its just temporal boost before it flops again and again. Should not care about it too much.

I been grinding for 2 years, trying to collect all sets, and i dont care about traits. Since its no issue, all i wanna do is dream of having in future my Foxeys den where all the available sets are available for ppl to browse and have look at if it looks good or not. FOR THE SAKE OF GRINDING.

We dont need token system. Have patience and enjoy playing meanwhile. I have now 220 something keys rdy for the undaunted. For Ic vault i got 10000 something, i wont be using them, there is no rush in my gaming life. I patiently wait for the moment.

for the sake of it all, we play for fun or to have fun, not to show off and be the best of the best and burn everything in matter of seconds.

I accept that this is why some people grind, but I have never felt the slightest urge to do so. I think perhaps it is people with low self esteem. But it cannot be the majority of players.

For the most part, people I have raided with in many games do it to progress their character not to compare epeens. A very small minority of very insecure people do this but most have bigger goals in mind for the TEAM not just their own insecurities.

People want better gear so they can face greater challenges and contribute more to the group.

The problem with catering to the epeen minority is that it takes the incentive away to create actual content. Instead of making new raids and trials to challenge people as they build their character, companies too often opt instead to just create endless Korean grind style RNG and "emergent gameplay" like forced PVP other games have been obsessing over lately.

Anything to get away with putting out less actual content while still charging premium. That is MMO's today and I would hate to see ZOS slip further into that abyss.

It is also what leads to pay to win and Casino Crates. Insecure people have no problem shelling out money to get that ego boost even if they know they didn't earn it. Personally, I see it as mental illness, but it doesn't stop the industry from taking advantage of it, which is really pretty disgusting.
