ZoS Why add Duel in PvE when you have Cyrodiil for PvP?

Thanks alot, ZoS, for adding this ridiculous and annoying add on into the game. Now players can annoy me with their duel invitation. God forbid if I press the wrong key, and engage in combat in a PVE area!
Cyrodiil must not have a very good audience for PvP... now you're trying to encourage pvp into a PVE Territory.

✭✭✭✭There is a setting, "auto decline" that may be set if dueling is something that you do not want to do. I don't know where the setting is, but shouldn't be hard to find though.Fan of playing magblade since 2015. (PC NA)

As mentioned above, turn on auto decline duel settings.

smacx250✭✭✭✭✭Dueling in PvE actually makes good sense, as it is very much a spectator sport. It has been proven on many an occasion to be not so good for a war zone. And this from someone who is NOT a dueler - already enabled auto-decline!

✭First of all, as many have said, you can set it to auto-decline. As to why? Because there are limitations to dueling in Cyrodiil that are fixed with structured dueling, such as being unable to duel members of the same alliance, duels potentially getting interrupted by other players, and having long travel times to get back to the location where you are dueling1 -

You can't use the new duel function in Cyrodiil. There are plenty of players still doing the AvA gameplay in Cyrodiil... duels are one thing but there is a war to be won soldier!
Just try the duelling! You might like it!

Because a lot of people like to duel and now we can duel against our own faction which we couldn't do in pvp
Because now we can duel other factions in open world.
Because its a feature in many MMO's
Because people asked for it
Because dueling isn't easy in pvp because people come along and interupt it
Because now we can run duel tournaments in my guild for fun
Because it adds another element to the game and creates more possibilities for social interaction, and things to do that are fun.
Because it creates a vibrant 'lived in' game.At least the spelling is difficult for you.

Seriously, people have asking for this SINCE LAUNCH.
They give the people something they want, and of course someone complains. If you don't want to duel, ever, change your settings to auto decline.
If you don't want to see people dueling then stay out in the wilderness with the wolves and trolls.0
