Can we remove all Dominion/Pact/Covenant enemies and quests from the game?

Now that One Tamriel is there:
I dont want to fight my own people, can you please remove everything related to the war outside of Cyrodiil from the game?
Or rewrite all the quests to make me an illoyal and ruthless mercenary? The way it is now is really stupid, immersion breaking and self-contradictory.

How is this any different than before? Other than choosing which zones you go to?
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

Gary Gravestink "I am glad you died, I needed the help"

    Well...
You don't have to. You can just skip the quests where you have to kill your own people. Very simple actually.

It's not immersion breaking or self-contradictory if you followed the story. Whenever you enter a zone of another alliance, you enter a timeline where you washed up in that alliance and therefor are part of that alliance.

Before One Tamriel the only time you went into enemy territory was when you'd finished the main story and you got a "what if..." scenario, and it kind of made sense -- I RPed it in my head as some sort of Quantum Leap "I'm Sam Beckett" deal. Now you can just waltz into enemy territory right from the off and swan about under the noses of people who in "reality" would stab you as soon as look at you, and nobody bats an eyelid; you can go from a quest where you're killing Covenant soldiers to one where you're saving them, and it's nonsense. It makes a mockery of the RPG bit of MMORPG...

    I agree!
Also, wearing items as a costume would be a great addition. Like having gear slots (what we have now) plus costume items slots, which will override the looks of basic gear. I'd gladly pay 1K crowns to unlock costumr items slots/"slots for looks" feature.

The story reason for being able to be in a different alliance during Silver and Gold is still true now, you just have the option to do things out of order. If you make that choice to go out of order, it is your choice alone to do so, and you need to go into it knowing that, if that disconnect bothers you.

Personally, I'm going to continue to do things the old-fashioned way because that's what makes sense for me story-wise. Just because I can traipse all over Tamriel with my nublets doesn't mean I have to run off and start doing random quests in random orders. If you prefer a certain way of doing things, just do it that way and ignore all the other people who might be doing things in a way that's less sensible to you.

The ability to encounter other faction players is definitely nice, but I don't see why it also has to mean that the story is now essentially optional and easily broken by accident. Yes, I know we don't have to play it that way, and those of us who know what's going on can easily ignore it, but if you're new to the game and happen across one of the carts, get on out of curiosity, and do a couple of quests without really knowing you're in the "wrong" part of the world, you may start to be confused why you're now helping out those guys that you were just murderising.

Couple that with the "everything scales" mechanic which removes any gatekeeping "you're not ready for this quest, as we will now demonstrate by having a mob destroy you in seconds" warning signs that you may have strayted off the path, and I can see a lot of new players becoming hopelessly baffled.

Look at this way. At the end of your main quest you brought all 3 factions together to kill Molag Bal. Mission semi-achieved so maybe everywhere but Cyrodill is under a truce.

Idk, just throwing my two round copper pieces in the convo.

This is how it's done in Lord of the Rings Online. You have equipment slots. You have cosmetic slots. You purchase slots and wardrobe space from their cash shop.

Nice thing about that system is that you can put anything in those cosmetic slots you want. Thus lots of folks will save certain drops rather than destroy them or vendor them just for their cosmetic properties.
