Mine is even more than that and I'm on a 500gb Samsung SSD. I'm set to "unlimited" download speed but currently only on 8MB/s which is reeeeeeally weird.

I've been done and updated only awaiting the realm to come online. No more than and no less than 3gbs was downloaded. I am one of those *** ppl with their pc's so I know my free space on my HDD.

I had to change "The Elder Scrolls Online" folder's name to "The Elder Scrolls Online EU" so it wouldn't try to download the game fully again to my SSD. After that I restarted the launcher and it started to download the actual patch, not the whole game.

its explained in the patch notes the na is just live server but the coders at eso couldnt work out how to change it im guessing same as they couldnt get the server status light to work ( i would hate to look at the code for this game i bet its a right freakign state)

This doesn't make any sense either unless there are multiple issues with it on multiple servers, as I am NA server and it was still SAYING 40,000 MB downloading even though it didn't actually download that much...

I have a 16GB download going atm, not applying.

But at least people can start on it, regardless of what the size is/was/supposed t be.

ESO's launcher is terrible, it reapplies the entire *** game every update. Just awful.

Is that the reason why I had 35GB free space on my D : \ drive and when I checked on the launcher it had an error "not enough space" so I had to delete 60GB of games just to make sure there is enough space.

Mine started the initial patch download of approx. 2 GB.... so I left to go shopping. Came back half an hour later to find that *expletive* Windows 10 had restarted and was applying updates. Now... the launcher wants to download 40 GB.... no option to do anything except "Install". I am..... annoyed.

Edit: exited the launcher and restarted it... now says "Verifying" instead of "Downloading". Holding thumbs.

So basically, you open the eso client, it starts downloading the new patch. Suddenly the game shuts your pc off.
Since the download/patch changed the name of the folder it can't find the game and you have to redownload the whole game.

*****FIX********
Your original file is called "The elder Scrolls Online"
and the new map made is called "The elder Scrolls Online EU" (if you have to dl entire patch again) you have to change this folders name just put a 1 or 2 behind it and remove the eu. (do not remove only the eu)
Now you search for the map named "The Elder Scrolls Online" and you make it to "The elder scrolls online EU" the game will find your map and it will download the patches that you were supposed to get.

I'm not sure what the fork happened. My EU in the launcher has changed to NA and I can't seem to find a way to change it back. Before I got my launcher updated there was an option to switch servers but now it's gone. Then a message popped up and I selected EU as my main. It still shows NA in the launcher. I'm not sure if this is intended. Oh maybe ZoS have revamped the server selection and we can now switch between NA and EU before we login with our accounts? But why does it show NA in the launcher? It's kind of confusing.
