PS4: Monster Helm Drops from New Normal Dungeon

Hi All:

I just got through both of the new dungeons on normal on PS4. They're beautiful, but I digress.

I can confirm that the monster helm (Velidreth) drops from Cradle of Shadows on normal mode. This may not be around for long. The dungeons are quite generous with armor drops. You can get amberplasm, heem jas, and mazzatun from Ruins of Mazzatun. The jewelry drop in blue though.

Anybody get any of the new motifs yet? Haven't seen them on traders.

    Does it drop at CR160 or CR140?

    Yep. Some peeps from Ebonheart Group Finder were already running it on Vet.

    I opted for the normal version, because I had heard about how hard the vet versions were.

    So what is the point of running it on veteran if it's easier and faster with the same reward?
    End the tedious inventory management game.

    My friend also took the hemo the Craddle of Shadows in normal mode, it is ridiculous for the PC version some had already reported this BUG, why was not corrected before releasing for the consoles, or now it is normal that not to know?

    If this is the rule now, loses the overall goal of making the veteran mode.

    It depends on what you are running it for. The new armor sets all drop at cp 160, even if you run it on normal. If you're looking to acquire these sets, it's better to farm on normal. Same goes for the monster helms.

    The perks of running it on veteran include achievements, the skins (as @DRXHarbinger mentioned), and the jewelry in purple. It drops blue in normal mode.

    Does everything still drop in normal mode the same? I want to know if it's worth looking for people to grind the pieces

    Yes, but the Helm drops are ultra rare now on Normal. Out of twenty runs or so, one person in my PUG groups has gotten the helmet.

    Edit: Did not realize necromancy was practiced, sorry @UltimateJoe777 :(

    Not that old to be necromancy and it's still a relevant discussion, I still get drops in normal.cp160

    And yet, some dungeons in Vet mode certain enemies only drop CP140 gear. Wayrest Sewers - the boss who keeps fearing you (Ogre? Flesh Atronach?) is one. This isn't the only instance I've noticed... I think there were some bosses in Darkshade Caverns Vet as well that also only dropped CP140.

    Definitely not necro! I appreciate the information. I really want to grind for the amberplasm set for my magic sorc.
