Thank you from +10(+11) UTC timezones for double maintenance.

I would like to thank you on behalf of Oceanic and Asia the wonderful times you have selected for double maintenance. While the T1 update was expected, the extra maint was not. (Also thanks for the massive instability these always cause in Cyrodiil for the day following.) We will now be able to get on with real life, just the thought of that is giving me anxiety.

Would of been nice to move the first maintenance a full 8 hours later to share the load. But that's OK we understand that it isn't possible please everyone, to do backup on the fly and reboot nodes individually.

I guess we'll see you guys on Friday in T1. Happy real life for a week Oceanics!
This recent update has made me sad. Sad for the game. Sad for the community. Sad to pay whatever it is now. I want the previous eso back.

At least with daylight savings now I'll get a minimum hour's play tonight instead of the 20 minutes I got last Wednesday prior to maintenance... I think I prefer that over hoping it'll be done before I go to bed.

I know!! You think they would do it at 9am their time because most people have school and jobs but nope aussie prime time seems to be the best slot for them. Why do we even play this game our ping means we will never be competitive and we cant play it when maintenance

Yeops it's like that, get home from work to squeeze an hour in.

They do it to monitor performance before they leave for the day. If they started an 8 hour maint. at 9 am, they would finish at 5pm, most likely the time they would be getting off work for the day. So if something happens, guess what, they'd have to be called BACK in to fix the problem, ruining their off work time.

Starting an 8 hour maintenance at 4 am and completing it by 12 pm, allows the company to monitor performance and/or push bug fixes for multiple hours on end before having to leave for the day.

I feel for you guys. Had the same issues with Final Fantasy 14 where the maint. times suited Japanese business hours instead. Such is I guess.

But please, continue posting spoiled brat crybaby threads without thinking of other people before yourself.

So what your saying is wake them up super early so they can go home at 5pm. Instead of wake up at normal time and go home when you would still be awake anyway?

Do you really think the devs are at the office at 2 am? This is started early so it's almost complete by the time they get in for work in the morning.

Who knows, are they a 24hr operation? Not really the point, if something is critical to the business hours are adjusted, staffing is made.I've worked for company's which do a monthly inventory, people who work 9-5pm mon-fri all of sudden are hanging out on Saturday night counting. It's not a regular thing, but something of this magnitude I'm sure they'll be there for it.

To be fair people are paying for a service and some time zones are quite disadvantaged, i.e. not getting what they are paying for on a regular occurrence.

The monthly sub should be reduced to compensate for the regular weekly patch outages during peak times for certain time zones. That is 4-5 days a month people are unable to login and play because of regular maintenance.

Look forward to this being paid in crowns or sub being reduced for those affected.

We got reimbursed in xp scrolls once. Whatever happened to that?

I miss out pretty much an entire evening every week because of my timezone. I understand maintenance is necessary, however I pay for that time and I'm unable to play. Pisses me off.

Really? We Aus and NZ should get that Xp scroll for compensation totally, for doing maintenance at our prime time.

I agree. While maintenance is a necessary evil, 1 day a week (essentially for the last 6 months or so) is pretty rough on the Oceanic and Asian timezones.

I get it that we may be the lowest population of the game, but seriously, losing a day a week due to maintenance? Some kind of xp scroll/horse bonus scroll would be appreciated.
