Hey there dudes and ladies:

Former PVP GM and regular here. Had to peace out after 2 solid years when it became clear the Cyrodiil lag and DC issues were not getting properly addressed. I'm wondering if any progress has been made in this area since the Spring? I quit after TG, that is the last expansion I played. Lag was still horrible, NB was still ridiculous and guildies were dropping like flies Has anything changed that would maybe induce somebody in my shoes to reinstall?

Someone in your shoes? Nope. But had you not left, I would say that playing PvP now would probably make you stay. Not because it's perfect and amazing, but because it's more fun and more stable. A couple long(12 sec) load screens here and there but nothing to crazy.

Oh and all Stamina Classes are DPS Kings. NB have been nerfed to like 3-4 place in terms of PvP. Still #1 Ganks.

Eh. Maybe I'll throw it back on and give it a shot as a pug for a few hours. Thanks for the feedback.

Performance is much improved for many/most. But remember there are many variables that go into performance and what your individual experience will be.

I have enjoyed it playing solo and small group casually recently, but i think i would be done after 2 weeks if i tried to run with a nightly guild for map objectives or to farm large groups.

General performance seems much better. I don't get FPS drops, but lag is still an issue on large campaigns during prime time like Trueflame to the point where's it unplayable, unless you're ok with light attacking and hoping you hit something

The fact that people are satisfied with the performance improvements is shocking to me. It's still completely unacceptable for a AAA game.

Game runs a whole lot better than it did a couple of months ago in PVP.

But what about DAOC? I don't think you're qualified to have an opinion on performance unless you ranked top tier in DAOC.

And this isn't so much a AAA game as it is a game that's used up all its free towing with AAA and can't afford to pay out of pocket now.

Lag is still a massive problem and needs to be addressed sooner rather than later, but the general performance does seem significantly better for most people

If only the balance progression didn't share an inverse relationship.
