Global Character RNG or "luck factor" concerning refining

I have research a bit and found that there seems to be a rng factor given to your character either during login or every time you change instances. I noticed this through constant farming and refining raw materials that some days I receive more purple/gold temps/resins/rosins. I also have seen many videos and heard many times from other gamers that you want to reset the refining table after a few raw 10 stacks are refined if you do not receive a gold or purple. IDK if anyone has a definitive answer, but if you do please post it here and save many of us the trouble of refining 1000 stacks and getting 1 temp/resin/rosin...

✭✭✭✭✭I have tried to game the system. I am not having much luck. The best I can do is increase the drop rate of all Tempers, and hope some Golds get sprinkled in.
What I do is start refining, and if I get no Tempers of any kind for the first 3 Operations, I leave the station and come back another time. If I get Tempers from the first two or three, then I continue to work the stack for a while. However once I get a Gold, I leave the station even if I have raw mats left. Also, if I hit 3 Opps in a row with no tempers after a string of Tempers, I leave the station.
Too many times I have activated the station and done 7 to 15 operations, or more, and gotten bupkiss for Tempers. But, if I get Tempers in the first three operations, then the Temper Flow seems to be steady for a good 10 to 15 operations. I don't think I am increasing the rate of Gold Tempers, but I do get more Tempers of any kind with the above method. At least I am not blowing through stacks and getting little to no Tempers at all.Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

✭✭✭✭✭I thought my RnG was weird when I went through 600 with nothing, but the next 1000 gave me 12 and then the next 400 gave me 8.
