Keep losing one of my Mundus stones with Twice-Born Star

I have a full set of Twice-Born Star gear and it's great! One problem that keeps happening though, is that I will lose one of my two Mundus Stone. It happens during regular play, and I have to go back and re-acquire the missing Stone to have the two different Mundus Stones active all the time. This defeats the whole purpose of the gear!! Is this a bug and get I get some info on how to correct this? Thanks!!

Is one of your set pieces your weapon and you lose the second mundus stone if you switch weapons?

If you swap one of the TBS items out at any time you have to go and re-acquire the 2nd mundus stone, so that is what I think might be happening. It may be that all of your weapons are TBS but switching from one to another actually acts like a break in the set (I haven't tested this, it is just a theory).

I always try to make my set pieces the 5 that I never swap, shoes, belt, legs, chest and gloves. That way I can swap weapons, monster sets and jewelry any time without impacting the set.

Just saw your other response, don't waste your time wearing all one set, you will get better benefit if you have a second appropriate 3 or 4 piece set (depending on weapons) or two 3 piece sets (incl jewelry) on top of a 5 piece set.

OP here is how it goes. TBS does not save your second mundus stone (I've complained a million times about this), once you deactivate the 5 set piece you lose your second mundus stone even if you get the 5 set piece activated again...

The ideal setup is Boots, Legs, Belt, Chest, Gloves (5 pieces). You leave Shoulders, Helms, and weapons to your other sets.

Under no circumstance should you have more than 5 pieces of TBS (or any 5 piece set). If you are using weapons to complete the 5 piece bonus, then you need to have TBS weapons on both bars. You shouldnt lose the bonus unless you are swapping gear or swapping to a bar that doesnt have 5 total pieces.

If you really are wearing 8-9 pieces of TBS, its possible you stumbled onto a bug.

As others said, it's totally unnecessary for all slots to be TBS. Try keeping 5 pieces of it in armour slots and switch out weapons to some other set. It may indeed be that switching weapons is what's causing this.

There are actually some great builds that make use of TBS weapons. I use them in trials on both my mDK and my mSorc. You just need the TBS weapon on both bars.

The new weapon damage glyphs are very powerful, and unless you have a sharp VMA staff, you are almost certainly better off with crafted weapons. I run Infallible Jewelry and one armor piece, a monster set, 4 TBS armor pieces, and TBS staffs. That way I have :4 infal, 2 monster, 5 TBS.

I do the same thing on my Sorc in VMA, but instead of infal, I run elegant, and instead of TBS, I run Julianos (4 armor and 1 of each weapon), and slot an extra elegent weapon on my DW back bar. So front bar destro is: 4 elegent, 2 monster (kena), 5 julianos, and back bar is 5 elegent, 2monster, 5 julianos.

Is your TBS all in armour, or do you have it in weapons? If, for example, you have 4 armor and 1 weapon TBS, when you switch to your other weapon you'll lose the 5-piece set bonus, unless that other weapon is also TBS.

Okay that's very unnecessary. You need 5 pieces for the bonus and that's it. Use other set for the other pieces.
Just so that everyone knows, my Altmer still can't have black hair. About a dozen of Altmer NPCs in the game have black hair. Just saying.

    Meet my characters:
    Command: Do the thing.

Zadarri, Khajiit Fist of Thalmor: The thing was done, as commanded.
Durza gra-Maghul, Orc blacksmith: The thing was done perfectly, in the most efficient way.
Tegwen, Bosmer troublemaker: You can't prove I didn't do the thing.
Sings-Many-Songs, Argonian fisher: Sure, I'll do the thing... Eventually. Maybe.
Aerindel, Altmer stormcaller: After extensive research, I've come to the conclusion that doing the thing would be a waste of resources.
Liliel, Dunmer pyromancer: Aerindel said I shouldn't do the thing. Something about "resources".
Gyda Snowcaller, Nord cryomancer: I will find a way to do it that won't waste resources and make Aerindel proud of me.
Beatrice Leoriane, Breton vampire: I persuaded someone else into doing the thing. You are welcome, dear.
Sahima, Redguard performer: Doing the thing sounds awfully unpleasant and really not my problem.
Ellaria Valerius, Imperial priestess: I'll pray to the Eight for the thing to be done, if it is Their will.

Well that's kinda bananas. You know you only need 5 pieces for the full set bonus, right? I would try with some different weapons equipped, you might be hitting a bug that no one else hits because no one wears more than 5 pieces at once :)

FWIW I have 2 characters in 5-piece TBS armor and never have this problem.

I know about the 5 pieces. And I know it's totally unnecessary. I wasn't expecting to be penalized for it though.. I wanted to experiment with a full set plus weapons to see if there was any slight benefit. Well thanks to you all... I found out that it is just the opposite! All of my other characters have the 5 piece (if needed) usually with different helmets and shoulders. I will switch back to "default setting"s. Thanks.
