Advice on ideal crafted sets for stamsorc?

Hi there! So I have a khajiit stamsorc who will soon have the mats to make her final gear, and I'm still a bit torn about what crafted sets to go with. To preface this, I'm a longtime though relatively casual PVE player; I enjoy both vet/non-vet dungeons and might someday dip into Maelstorm Arena, and obviously want to be effective at them, but I'm not looking to conquest leaderboards or anything. Nor am I interested in grinding for specific helm/jewelry drops, though I'm open to build suggestions that include those as well in case I ever get lucky. For right now this is mostly an issue of which crafted sets to go with.

Until now I've been running 5 piece Hunding's Rage and everything else Night Mother's Gaze, but after seeing Delita's video on stam sets, it looks like this is actually not an optimal combo. According to the math there, it's actually most effective to go with either Twice Born Star as your main 5 piece or, especially for group content, Night Mother's Gaze if you're the only one running it. But is Night Mother's Gaze still worthwhile if there's always that chance someone else in your group could be running it? Is TBS really that much better than Hundings? Right now, my instinct is to go TBS if Deltia's info is still correct, as I also enjoy challenging solo content (like soloing Craglorn) and will really only have the mats to make one set of gold cp160 gear. So being stuck with NMG seems like it would set me back slightly in that regard. Also, stamsorcs could really do with the extra magicka on top of stamina for spamming dark exchange. But I wanted to get a second opinion on this, or see if there was still yet another set that would be even better. Thanks in advance! And if it matters, I'm running bow/DW.

5 TBS with 4 Hundings/4 NMG
Or
5 Hundings/5 NMG with 4 NMG/4 Hundings

are all great crafted sets for any Stamina build.

They aren't equal, but the overall difference in dps isn't very big, so really, choose what you want, because it'll work out fine, and you won't get gimped with any of those gear setups.

Well a 5 piece hunding's is better than twice born star in solo and group content that you don't have war horn up pretty much all the time. It also allows you to have a monster set in if you wanted and have hunding's dual wield.

But, twice born isn't far behind if you go shadow and thief. It is better than hunding when you have warhorn up a lot. Depending what you're doing, it gives you flexibility with a a mundus stone too. Also, the extra 1k health it gives you can help sometimes.

I did maelstrom om my stam Sorc with 5 TBS, 4/3 nightmother's and 3 agility.

You want to farm vicious ophidian though. It's an amazing set. Makes maelstrom a lot easier too.

For vma you definitely want Night Mothers Gaze as a Stam Sorc, as they lack any means of a armour debuff. Same goes for Stamplars, though they can get minor fracture from PoTL.

I'm looking forward to it! I definitely have to get better at my resource management before I attempt it, but it's on my to-do list for sure.

Oooh, I just looked that one up, that stam return is tempting . . . I've never done trials before and don't really have a group to do so, but, maybe someday!
