I know it's a bit vague, but I've just hit 50 on my alchemy and have stacks and stacks of flowers and Lorkhan's Tears.

I play as an Imperial stam nb, play mostly pve but have been dabbling more and more in scourge recently.

What are essential potions for my class in pve and pvp? What can you guys not live without?

Cant go wrong with tri stat pots but i tend to use essence of lingering health which gives about 1k health per tick increases healing recieved by 30% (use vigor and the heal is big!) and also gives stam and increases recov by 20% all lasts 47 secs (health tic 30)

    Here are my two favorite.

Namira's Rot- Blessed Thistle - Blue Entoloma (Invisibilty + Speed): I'm a Templar but some situations call for a bit of night bladeiness.

Columbine - Bugloss - Wormwood (Immovability, Health, Health Recovery, Magic, Magic Revovery): These 5 things are things that my magplar desperately needs in fights. There is also a stamina version that uses dragonthorn.

The most popular ones are probably spell and weapon power quad stat potions but my toon has skill based ways of getting those bonuses.

Here is a tip, put together potions that fill holes in your game, or make what you do best better. You can only take 1 every 45 seconds so don't waste a stam potion on a magic character. Also, these ingredients are very expensive. You might want to keep a few store bought potions on you for use in overland PVE. Drinking a columbine is drinking 1000 gold. Oh, and make sure you have the skill points into making 4 potions at a time.

There are also tri-pots suited for specific builds with no access to damage buffing. This is how to make them:

Lady's Smock + Corn Flower + Namira's Rot = Restore Magicka/Magicka Recovery, Spell Damage Buff, and Spell Critical Buff

Dragonthorn + Blessed Thistle + Wormwood = Restore Stamina/Stamina Recovery, Weapon Damage Buff, and Weapon Critical Buff

You can also substitute Namira's Rot and Wormwood in the above recipes with Water Hyacinth if need be.

No stam and stam recovery on those lingering health pots. They still are the best for PvP though.
