I encountered this problem yesterday afternoon and have spent most of today attempting to diagnose. After game loads a selected character, as soon as I hit any key on the keyboard, the game freezes. Subsequently unable to load task manager and have to reboot or sign-off. Occurs with controller enabled or strictly keyboard. No mods installed. Reloaded (painfully) from Steam twice today and even restored files from backup of a couple of days ago to achieve a working file set. Can't identify any problem with recent NVidia driver update and can't replicate behavior on another Stem program: Dark Souls 2, for instance, works fine with keyboard and controller. If not fixed soon I will have to cancel pending renewal of 3 month Plus membership. W10 64; Haswell-E; GTX 980 Ti.
