Maintenance for the week of April 6:

@ZOS i challenge you .....

I challenge you to put all your employee's paychecks on a weekly RNG. you could make 5 dollars or 5,000 that week. wouldn't that be fun and exciting, i mean after all isn't life all about the cash chase?
If you still have all your employees after a month i will concede that your RNG is in fact fun. i have a feeling that no one wants to do anything challenging for a small chance at an actual reward.i am thinking that your people will be just like my writ crafters and run out of materials(cash) and not be able to do any more writs(pay bills). Or better yet, do something that is a serious challenge like fix the lag in pvp(hours clearing VMA)and get nothing for it (resto staff for your stam dps).
there is allot to this game that is amazing your RNG system isn't one of them. it just plain frustrating.
i ask that you please PLEASE take a closer look at tokens or anything that isn't your current system.

This whole RNG hate is brewing all across the gaming world from an obscure game like Elite Dangerous to top end games like this... Will the magnitude of hate cross the critical mass threshold where games that use it will fall and fall hard?

    Its going to happen...

Maybe but if you compare it to say buying a burger and maybe getting meat on it. That doesn't carry the same punch. Not being able to pay bills because you have no money is on par with how frustrating it is to do things in game for little to no reward.

    I uninstalled Elite Dangerous

I use that game (ED)...well the devs of it (not the grapics and combat mechanics-as that part is excellent)...as a GREAT contrast medium to enhance my awareness of devs that DO have their sheit together. I swear comrads of ESO...go play that game long enough to get a feel for how badly devs can screw things completely to a point of oblivion and you'll have a much clearer appreciation of this game's devs.

So...if a game run by the likes of ED devs use heavy RNG...You immediately know what NOT to use. You need no further evaluation...full stop ;)

Truth is, people always, ALWAYS complain and many (Many, not most) leave due to 'random loot boxes' (or similar) but they company often makes more profit after having adding them.

I don't really think zeni gives a flying flop about anything we say anymore, and have gone pretty far to prove this fact by consistently going against 'promises' made in the past.

But aside from the upcoming p2w content and loot-gamble boxes, if they can show (At least somewhat) attention to detail with future dlcs, most people will continue to play.

But as far as the 'next stage' they are going towards, It don't look good for either the company (they will have less sizable player base, even if said player base is paying more to compensate, less people means higher chance you lose your revenue if something 'goes bad' later on) or us, as players(With same above reasons, any dip in population will have a much greater impact on 'future developments')

Oh... I was with you until you got on about running out of resources for writs...

Gather more resources to do your writs or skip them until you have the mats to do them. Are you one of those people that log in to 8 characters a day to do writs and then brag about your income? "Oh you poor scrubs have trouble making gold? Do your writs on 8 characters and you'll make 31872 gold a day just by slapping materials together!!"

Personally, I welcome anything that makes it harder or more time consuming to print gold in this game, and increasing the cost of end game writs will do just that.

I don't think this idea is really by Devs or community people just higher ups . Even if they are employees of ZOS it doesn't mean they like it anymore then we do just they cannot say anything . In the end the business people control what happens and I read all the time about developers not liking it more then any other player so just know this . I've taken the blind eye approach as there is not anything we can really say or do to stop those at the top for making these calls . I just won't be purchasing any myself as I don't like taking chances with real money .

So if the game forums aren't the place to say you have a problem with the game mechanics then where should i direct my frustration? If you could go ahead and point me in the right direction that would be great

i have 2 lvl 50's (just returned to the game) and they have 20k between them so your a bit off. my problem with the writ survey drop rates is that i don't want to spend all my time farming to get mats for writs to get upgrade materials for my gear. what is really happening is i spend my time farming,do the writs and don't get a damn thing for time. and its frustrating. i am trying to play catch up but moving at a snails pace.

Not a false equivalence, if it is explain how instead of getting faulty agrees.

You pay for the game, you get paid in real life. It's about payment, it's not an analogy of the imaginary to the real. Please refrain from this kind of posting again, thanks!

Well they DO deal with both the playerbase's complaints and problems as well as the issues and development of the game itself. Can be quite taxing :p
