Ice Furnace Set Does Not Work on DoTs

After several series of tests, I have come to the conclusion that the Ice Furnace set does not proc on DoTs.

The supposed 5 piece: 50% chance when damaging target with Frost to also deal 1252 Flame Damage.

I have found that it procs on the following events:

First hit of destructive touch & morphs
First hit of crushing shock/force pulse
First hit of impulse

It does not proc on:

Wall of Elements whatsoever
Destructive touch DoTs
Impulse DoTs

I am including some screen caps for those who want to see different outcomes. I'd encourage those who do not trust my evaluation to test it themselves and post their results (the set pieces would cost you like 10k total to obtain 5 pieces for testing).

Horrible wording on the ability. ZoS really needs to update the wording so there is some consistency here. From how it was written I assumed that it had a chance to proc any time ice damage was dealt. There is no reason to think otherwise. There is no noted cooldown at all. I'm glad I didn't pay too much for the jewelry set I picked up this past week. Seems nearly pointless.

All abilities should use a standard set of language to describe the effect. Any flavor text should be kept separate from the ability text itself and all cooldowns should be noted. Anything else is just plain lazy, confusing or a troll.

Yep. The sets should be more clearly worded.

Also, this set should either have the proc off of DoTs, or it should have its damage increased significantly to make it useful.

Sorry for the necro, but wanted to follow this thread up. Anyone able to confirm if weapon enchants, set procs, etc. also would proc ice furnace?

It procs from Frost weapon enchants
also from the first tick of Ice comet
and ofc LA's and HA's

IDK about set procs
