new to eso looking for archery build tips (sorry for repeat thread) (looking for healer/bow tips)

hi i'm new to eso and after trying out a few characters to see how the game plays, i want to play as an Archer type.

I've always love using a bow in Elder scrolls, and looking to play one here.

I plan on being a wood elf, and would like some advice on builds. Pretty much what builds are expected in terms of group content.

Just looking for advice on which class does good for Archery build. I did try Templar healing with bow, but figured I'd get shunned for it.

Sorry if this is a repeat thread, but one thread i replied to was locked due to "necro bump" ??

thanks in advance for any advice.

I play a Dragonknight Khajit and use 2H and bow in PVP and DW and bow in PVE. I started playing using the builds from Alcast which you can find below. I suggest you read through his builds as this is a very good starting point.

You can also choose a Nightblade which is also a good combination with bow.

Bows ROCK for any kind of character you can imagine! Almost all of the characters i've made are templars [personal preference] and i Immediately get new characters poison arrow to put somewhere on the skill bar so it'll level up - even if i won't use a bow again until theyre past level 15.

The single biggest piece of advice for using a bow that i can give is to Learn to Aim
using the "cycle preferred target" key.

On the PC, i've remapped mine so it's the left alt key, so it's easily hit with the left thumb. [to re-map keys on the pc, go to Controls> keybindings> targeting. i personally also prefer using the tab key to change weapons/skill bars, fwiw]

When you get used to aiming & you've levelled bow to where you can get the snipe skill, you'll find that you can run around lobbing arrows into the sky which act like homing missiles toward your selected target- & It IS AWESOME

long time elder scrolls fan, I've had no real issue using a bow in eso. I mostly play in first person anyway. :)

    Welcome to ESO!

For archer tips. I would recommend playing a NB as they best synergize with a bow.

hey sorry for necro bump, i tried eso and it was fun then took a break from eso to wait on One Tamriel to see how the game and community is.

i was thinking of being a bow using healer, as a bosmer, what would the best classes choice for that?

in mmo i since ff14 i found myself enjoying tank or healing classes. I enjoy helping my team and being useful. In TES i preferred playing with a bow.

i figured i'd go healer instead of tank in eso as i have no clue how to tank in eso and don't want to suck, and screw my team over.
