The List

So instead of creating a bunch of posts on individual items, I figured I'd just list the things I find annoying here. Feel free to share yours!
  • Getting stuck in combat. I literally can't mount or use transit shrines for like 10 minutes after fighting.
  • If you ride your mount too close to a keep wall you get dismounted
  • Toppling charge is still bugs out sometimes and locks you out of combat (can't block, dodge roll, weapon swap, use abilities)
  • If you use toppling charge and get CCd mid way you slide along the ground and can't CC break
  • Radiant destruction spam - please lower the range to 15 meters. That's the only problem I have with it.
  • Too many powerful physical knock downs. Change incap strike to how it used to work (would only knock down if they had lower health than the target)
  • Negates. Why do they only suppress magic abilities? At the very least it could prevent stamina heals.
  • Eclipse and Fear often take a couple of seconds to break free. A couple of seconds into fear usually means death.
  • Can we have an ultimate that scales from max health please? Perhaps one of the S+B morphs could be used in some way.
  • I still think 60% cost increase on poisons is too strong, keeping in mind they generally give beneficial effects to the attacker at the same time. Lower it to 20-30% max.
  • Being in a group will cause excessively long loading screens around Cyrodiil when porting to forward camps or keeps/outputs, even if the server performance seems fine
  • Can we get, like, a magicka version of Immovable (heavy armor skill). Perhaps from mages guild or something? CCs are out of control. And no, I can't afford immovable pots.
  • Collecting Lorebooks. You really have to figure out a better way to level the mages guild skill line. By the time I've finished grinding a character I have Fighter's Guild maxed, then I realise I have to scout books for the next several hours to level my mages guild. I can't even imagine how painful this is for console players without addons.
  • Lower the time it takes to level your horse. Like 6-12 hours instead of 24. Starting a new character then riding around Cyrodiil with 3% speed is painful as hell.
  • Have the option to skip the very first Harborage quest where you walk around with Dumbledore and listen to his boring story you've heard 50 times. If I have to hear "Step into my mind, Vestige" one more time I'm going to snap.
  • Separate IC and Cyrodiil populations. It'd be nice to see the population in IC before riding there from the starting point because we were nightcapped to find IC is actually empty.
  • Emperor buffs should not work while inside IC. They have nothing to do with the alliance war, and turn them into Hercules when they wear Imperial Physique then farm IC all day. Basically IC should be a completely different entity to Cyrodiil.
  • Please add some new unique sets you find in IC. Perhaps lying around in chests and stuff, and from the daily quests.
  • For the love of god put a cooldown on the amount of times you can get rooted. I spent 2 hours of my 3 hours playing today sitting inside encases and frost magblade bollocks. Talons I don't have so much of a problem with, but the other two, jesus christ.
  • Ultimates aren't going off when you really need them to. Sometimes I just have to sneeze and it goes off, but when I'm under pressure the ultimate won't go off until I'm dead.

That's it for now. There's probably others that I forgot, but these are fresh on my mind because they all happened today, within a few hours of playing.

I instantly break free from fear all the time. Pro tip: when feared, just hold down the left trigger then keep tapping right trigger.

Radiant is *supposed* to be long range, it's in the role of the class. The role of the class is to be the pillar around which the mobile forces operate.

in navy terms... The aircraft carrier (support build Templar) sits at the center of the strike group, the submarines / destroyers / cruisers (dps sorcs / dps dk / nb / dps templars) operate out from the carrier. The carrier projects force at range, and has the shops to do all sorts of repair work on the group, much like a support build Templar has lots of radiant oppression power to project at range and has the purify / heals to repair the rest of the group.

The analogy of 'my house' was an unfortunate way to explain the role of the Templar. Maybe the naval aircraft carrier strike group is better, maybe not.

But either way, Templar choose their battlefield by dropping a channeled focus and a ritual retribution, throwing a javelin to disrupt an enemy that their dps group is fighting, shutting down an enemy's ranged ability with eclipse, shutting down an enemy's heal ability with flare, slowing down and dropping injured enemies at range with radiant, healing at range with breath of life, mayhap another area hot, and very helpful with a barrier ultimate. They are constructed, as a class, to be the rock that other players lean on. That means little mobility and little mobility means their cannon is a ranged cannon.

    Need another example?
    (Quote)
In the U.S. Army, the M113 series have long been replaced as front-line combat vehicles by the M2 and M3 Bradleys, but large numbers are still used in support roles such as armored ambulance, mortar carrier, engineer vehicle, and command vehicle.
    (End quote)
The Templar is aligned as a support class like the m113 apc. The Templar is the ambulance / breath of life, the mortar carrier / radiant destruction, the engineer vehicle that disables enemies / eclipse and flare and javelin. And I like scorching flare too, to reveal pesky nightblades so local dps can rain merry heck upon them.

No, it's ok. I'll tell you why. Because it requires zero effort. Just stand in the back and hit that execute. You don't even have to be within gap closing range. Nobody can get to you while you're focusing your death beam on a target. People spam it only because there's no risk at all. If it was reduced to 15 meters instead of half way across the map, maybe they might think twice.

I keep telling my friends that if you cast Radiant on a target above 70-80% health, it should explode in your face. Would stop all those fights that start with some guy opening with a Jesus Beam.

Looks to me like you are whining about getting wrecked in a 1 versus 5 fight.

What, you've never seen yourself do 15k damage before? I'm pretty sure that thread from a few days ago, the one about the person that farmed 10million TV stones, showed a sorc hitting for 41k damage. Are you whining because the damage is at the same level you can do, or are you cranky over the power that delivered just as much damage as you can do?

Because seriously, if all you had were the damage numbers you wouldn't have one frakking clue even what class were the 5 people that dropped you like a sack of ta runes.

15,593.... Just the number alone, that could be a soul tether, or a proxy det, or an overload, or a vicious death, or any number of other things. And that other things could also deliver you into the hands of death with 15.5k damage means radiant is right in line with other abilities from other classes.

So here's the deal - your crankiness over radiant is misplaced and exaggerated. You're suffering from a case of confirmation bias.

Yes radiant destruction is OP. So is Incap. So is blah blah blah.

About to stop playing this game. Seriously, the balance of power is always shifted dramatically and this class is OP for a dlc, then another. Getting old when you gold out gear for a class and then it becomes irrelevant.

But to get back on topic, I completely agree with everything on this list and to add fix the cyrodil health pots to it.

Actually it was more of a 12 vs 12 fight. It just so happens they didn't like me very much and I got hit by every radiant

Do you know why it isn't in line with other abilities? Because Soul Tether, for example, doesn't have a 40 <censored> meter range. Also, Soul Tether is an ultimate. You can't stand on top of a keep wall and beam people like an angry kid with a magnifying glass burning ants.
