Clothier RNG Broke?
I noticed 2 troubling things recently: 1) That I haven't been getting any surveys when I do my clothier writs. 2) That the drop rate for dreugh wax during refinement is nearly nonexistent.
I have done 20 writs with only 2 returning the surveys and both of those were Wrothgar 2 which hasn't shown up either time. The dreugh wax is more troubling because I have been keeping track and out of 1354 materials refined I have gotten exactly 0 dreugh wax and only a smattering of any resin higher than blue. Both blacksmithing and woodworking seem to be operating fine though.
I'm just curious if anyone else is having similar issues?

I believe it's just bad luck with your rng and I know your pain. For the longest time I wasn't getting any gold upgrade mats from refining but in the last month or so I've been getting about one in forty refinements for tempering alloy and dreugh wax but rosin I barely get any of it. Also get surveys at least every other day from doing my writs and a pretty good amount of gold upgrade mats(1 every 3 days tops) from writs.5

✭What platform are you on? Today I refined about 3000 scraps and got only 6 wax from it. I usually get 1 per 200. It could just be that we had some bad RNG. I'm on PS4 / NA.1 -
Tevalaur✭✭✭✭✭The location for some surveys was wrong somewhat recently in the Lost Treasure addon, making people believe the surveys "weren't there." Are you perhaps using that addon or maps based off it's erroneous locations at the time? Check another source for survey location, or update your addon.
As for the dreugh wax, just bad RNG luck. Yeah, I'm on console, XB NA, so no addons I'm sorry to say. That particular survey is a known issue since TG. "RNG sucks" about sums it up, but prior to keeping track it had been bad enough that I felt I even needed to keep track, so I'm thinking there's more to it than bad luck.0

Mattock_Romulus✭✭✭✭✭I switched to refining lower tier materials and I'm getting 4-5 dreugh wax per 200 void tier refinement it's completely crazy. Something is definitely wrong with the top tier mats.1 -

You don't find any confirmation but the struggle for gold upgrades is real.1 -

In fact the experiences of a single player are probably too small to be significant. Some people are lucky, some aren't, and most are somewhere in the middle.0 -
