Now the main quest is done….<mild spoilers>

So I finished the main quest (or rather what I know of it) by the encounter with the big guy at the end. Looks like I hit the anticipated level just right as I hit 50 just before the meeting with MB. In hind sight, could probably have done with that either side as I had to quickly skip all the champ points stuff that flashes up as I was literally in the mob zone.

Initial panic set in thinking im just going to be grinding dungeons so very pleasantly surprised that I get to explore other alliance areas. The best bit, its all without the ‘pressure’ of the main story. Just loads of small stories.

The strange thing is too, that although im considered low level (up to champ 27 now) I feel more part of the gang and not such a noob.

It looks to me that the game doesn’t really start proper till you hit champ levels. (loving the free costumes you unlock too!)

Now start another character and try doing the same story again, with similar level of interest :).
I gave up with main on 2-nd character, but still 6 others need to complete it...
If I'm at the story complaining mode, I'd like the story to differ just like in swtor, gw2, and other games - different class different story, much more interest in the game.

@Suter1972 good on ya for hitting the Main story just right. And yeah man plenty of content left. Craglorn to explore, and the 10 other alliance zones. Then you have PvP or at least the PvE content in Cyro and DLC if you want more : Orsinuum feels a match to the rest of the game I thought, great zone to work through and complete. Imp City has PvE but really is a PvP extension. Then TG if you like stealing or DB if you like murdering, both quite niche DLC's though. SO much left to do.

Ignore any negative retorts you get here, good on you for exploring the game as intended and enjoying it's richness.

In a months Time with update 12 your experience would be totally different as everyone can go everywhere from the beginning. I personally had the same enjoyable experience as you, so am a bit confused how that will seem in terms of story sense compared to the current system.

It seems like so far, whatever level is reached, there is always another target to aim for.

Much of the content beyond the main quest such as DLC and even the Gold Zones are CP 160. Granted characters are scaled for those zones. Still I have been slowly chasing CP 160 as the next big milestone after Champion Rank.

The trouble has been I went Alt creation crazy a little after I hit Champion Rank. Training up Alts has taken a lot of time away from gaining Champion Ranks.

At least as of this weekend I finally have a second character to hit Champion Rank.
The Alt thing can be tricky because I end up having to complete a whole bunch of quests repeatedly for each character. The Main "Prophet" quest, the Fighters and Mages guilds and even the alliance main quests when having an alt in the same alliance as another. It is what it is. I tend to rush through quests I have done before.
