MageBlade help! Please and thank you

I was told by several people that Magicka Nightblades are the way to go. I have a Magicka nightblade, and granted, the armor and weapons I have are really bad, I don't seem to do good in PVE or PVP with MageBlade. Looking for other magblade to help me out!!! Thanks y'all!

Same boat. I really want to play my NB but it seems like a class without a purpose, other than maybe some really specific niche (i.e. veteran arena runs?).

After returning to the game about 6 weeks ago I discovered my rarely played mag Sorc was a beat as Stam; tons of utility, decent survivability whereas my stam NB was the "glass cannon" I remember light armor casters being.

I've tried multiple MagBlade builds but it seems like so many of the class skills are either "special purpose" or just plain useless.

It seems that the NB is the king of single target, 1 on 1 damage but how much content in the game revolves around that?

Looks like a very 1 on 1 PvP centric build; in PvE situations it looks like it would be woefully underpowered

PvE:

Gear set:
5xJulianos.
3xWillpower power. (arcane )
2xNerieneth.
Destruction staff. (both bars)

Skill slot:
Bar1: single target
Impale, elemental drain, Funnel health, crippling grasp , inner light.
Ultimate: Shooting star.

Bar2: AoE
Siphoning strikes, Refreshing path/Twisted path, Sap essence, wall of elements, merciless resolve.
Ultimate: Soul tether.

Refreshing path can be changed but I like it for self heals, while fighting a group of mobs.

Rotations:

Single target:
Have merciless resolve and Siphoning attack active all times.
Elemental drain >Wall of elements> crippling grasp > Funnel health x4> medium weave x4 to proc merciless resolve.

Use Sap essence in the middle of your rotation for increased spell damage.

AoE target:
Refreshing path>wall of elements > Sap essence> light/ heavy attack> Soul tether.

Make use of heavy/light attack.
