Proc rate doesn't really matter when the poisons stack and you have multiple people hitting you. I forget though, a large portion of this community thinks you should never win a fight when you are outnumbered. Besides just numbers, zergs are given every single advantage in this game.
Always the same about multiple people attacking...
Wouldn't there be poisons, there would probably be another "nerf/remoe ability XYZ", just because someone stated something about multiple players attacking them with whatever it was they complain about. It is most certainly not the problem here, it is just the many attackers, simple as that. Please don't use this as an excuse to get something removed, you don't approve of.
I'm just saying that arguing the low proc rate isn't relevant when facing multiple attackers. It doesn't matter if it only procs 20% of the time. When multiple attackers use it, you will be poisoned nearly the entire fight.
If multiple attackers radiant beamed you then... what?
If three poison attacks hit you you have about 50% of getting proc and poisoned for the next 6-10sec.
If three radiant beam hit you, what are the odds you survive the duration?
Los them if I can. I don't really like zerging beamplars either. The main reason I don't like poisons is they have a huge effect on the outcome of a fight, but require you to do absolutly nothing. No skill. Just put it on a weapon and drain enemy resources at a crazy rate. It is the same as these high damage proc sets people talk about. They require no skill, just put it on and benefit from proc chance. It is lazy game design.
So iy seems to me there are a lot of things you dont like othrr folks doing because you dont think they are skillish enough.
Hmm.. ok.
Got it.

I find it funny, personally, I do not like PvP, I am not good at it and I don't care to learn, but if I came here and said how I wanted PvP changed so I could have a chance against all you experts I would return to read page after page of L2P, something that at this time I agree with because I know I don't know how best to fight other players... And here we have a post that says "I keep getting killed in PvP, change the game so I can kill and not die"...
This is what I call "Irony"...

Please, and thank you.
@UltimaJoe777 I think nobody plays Azura because the game is balanced around CP, which makes non-cp fights subpar for a number of reasons.

Does anyone have real numbers of PVP vs. PVE players.
It seems like a small vocal PVP minority is having an impact on overall game play for those of us who never PVP.
Enough with the nerfs.

Ahhhhh...I've been waiting silently and lurking, waiting for this exact question to come up - one of my trophies (capture a resource) has a rarity percentage of a little less than 13%....hmmmmm, are there really so few of us????
back to the business of poisons - my only character really susceptible to it is my magsorc (take 10 steps, drop and die)...I had to respec my cp to boost his poison resistance...
doesn't really seem to bother any of my werewolves though...
Yeah, I don't like the poisons and won't use them myself. Nothing like fighting 5+ enemies and 3 of them are bowtards stacking poisons on you for 100% uptime. Add in a few beamplars and Velidreth proccing stam users and you have nearly my daily Cyrodiil encounter.
I know a lot of folks build for damage - it's sexy slaughtering folks...all my characters, except the magsorc and the mDK...carry at least 1.5k health regen...the deal with the mDK is he's a vamp - i turned him at level 12 (he just turned 30 - gotta love those 3 points) so his health boost passive hasn't kicked in yet - plus both of those characters are wearing light...all 7 pieces, ugh...

I'm curious. How exactly do poisons work out for PVE?
I do a lot of: Dungeons, trials, and Maelstrom Arena... But like, I always felt that enchantments outclass poisons in a PVE environment. For example, what good is increasing the cost of skills or making a target visible going to do for me against a boss? Compared to say my Maelstrom's Axe, which is allowing my single-target DOT to do way more damage. You see what I mean? Why use a poison on my Maelstrom's Bow, when the enchantment seems dramatically superior.
Or better yet, not even Maelstrom Weapons. Base weapons, with regular enchantments. Why use a poison which has only a chance to proc, when you can use an enchantment that will increase your weapon damage and spell damage guaranteed?

I'll tell you what I told the other PVE guy - I don't want them eradicated from PVE, just PVP. And to be honest, it's only the resource ones I have an issue with. Considering NPCs don't have resource pools I think you'll be OK.
ProbablePaul wrote: »When 100 points are applied to the physical, poison and disease resist section for CP, doesn't that 25% apply to your poison resistances, too? I know that a lot of people put their points there, so most people should have a decent amount of resistances. One could also consider enchanting their armor with poison resist glyphs - I bet one glyph would give you a huge difference when paired with CP percentages. You're probably not a bosmer or argonian, meaning you have very little, or no poison resist to be affected by your CP in physical/poison resist. So, add one glyph, and see what happens then.
I mean, you can't have ways to counter something, and still complain that it's OP. All you need to do is compromise, and let go of a divine trait, or something.
I'm just glad there's so much pve content to play now

For instance if ur goin up against those meta builds ( Stam DK ) that NEVER run out of resources its pretty annnoying .
