About What I Said Previously...

Yeeeeah, about what I said previously about returning to PVP. Screw. That. Hell no. Absolutely not. I remembered exactly why I stopped going into PVP. Nightblades, Nightblades, Nightblades, Nightblades, and more Nightblades. No. Absolutely not. Call it a QQ thread. Call it another crying/whining thread about stamina and Nightblades. I don't care. PVP is messed up. It's horrible. I'd rather do VMA before the nerfs it received, AND with the "50% weapon drop-rates" 24/7, 365. Hell no, bruh.

I remember when PVP was good, and very enjoyable. I was a diehard PVP fanatic. That's all I wanted to do. But, that was before stamina was overtuned. That was before 3/4 people are Nightblades or Templars. That was before all the overtuned stamina-based sets had a lock on things. That was before all of the bugs, lag, and exploits.

No. Definitely not. No. I'll happily keep my self in PVE, thank you very much. And people complain about VMA, and find that a mess? Haha! HAHAHAHAAHA! Bruh! PVP is horrible nowadays. I can't stand another minute in there. God bless anyone who finds PVP enjoyable nowadays, and believes it's truly the only form of end-game content in ESO. Salute to you. But no thank you. It's more infuriating than being blue-shelled in Mario Kart, on the final lap in first place. And you're only a few feet from the finish line. It's 100% pure nightmare fuel.

I was having fun during the IC event and that was despite me being awful at PVP and being utterly disgusted with Shadow Cloak carrying players who made terrible decisions.

    Rest in Peace:
    The Dragonknight

This commemoration is for the class that has constantly been plundered and dismantled by designers for no obvious reason while other classes continue to have coherent skill lines and feel both powerful and cool.

What's worse in Mario Kart is being in first place, inches away from the finish line and a NPC driver passes you because of game mechanics like in Mario Kart 64. It had a special catch-up mechanic where NPCs could pass you without using any power-ups at all. I think it had something to do with the way it kept track of where the NPC drivers were.

That's perfectly fine with me. Lol. If you're content spending half of your time on your mount, and the other half dealing with what I listed above? Plus ridiculous lag? Then so be it. Whatever works for you, is what works for you. Congrats. But for me? N'ah. I can't deal with that. It's far too infuriating.

Yes, from what I can tell PvP is usually filled with Nightblades and Templars, with quite a few Sorcers aswell. The only class I rarely ever see now is Dragonknights. Though the DKs have been nerfed so hard for PvP they are mainly just a PvE class now. Because if you don't setup a DK class right for PvP you'll just end up being useless.

There are lots of stamina DKs in the Imperial City right now, but magicka ones are almost extinct.

The ridicule I got from using a MagDK in PVP recently was also what got me to make my choice. And offen times than not, a lot of the claims made actually made sense. It was a waste of time using a MagDK in PVP. A complete waste.

Not to mention, I had a flashback of sorts to what @Lysette once said in a thread about PVP. It was something along the lines of, "What's the point of killing someone, if there is nothing to gain from it? No loot from them. You can't force them to join you. There's no point. It's just aimless running around, killing, and rinsing and repeating. There's truly no goal in sight, and even emperorship is a waste. As people trade it, and get it through underhanded methods." It wasn't exactly worded like that, but it was something like that. And at that point in time, things just resonated wonderfully. Lol. It was like a light bulb went off in my head, and I said to myself, "Bruh... WTF are you doing in PVP right now, bruh? This isn't for you, and is a waste of your time. Get the F outta here, Champ." Lol. And well... I'm happy I listened.

    PS4 NA.

I fight on Thornblade now (when I actually choose to PvP).

Haderus was a beautiful campaign once..... it was where I fought since Orsinium released. AD and EP would periodically switch buff servers, though it was usually AD who predominantly zerged Haderus down. DC (my alliance) was almost literally population-less.

I'd slaughter everyone since I am a solo player, and I had full control of my character with no lag to do it. Sometimes I'd solo take Keeps/Outposts in an effort to attract the zergs which I could then attempt to slay. Always resulted in failure, though it was a lot of fun. Once I even managed to kill 20+ players amongst a 30+ player zerg when I solo defended a Keep I had taken.

This is ALL in the past.....

Haderus is now a disgusting, laggy mess. Little difference between Haderus and Scourge now. Both are laggy and aids.
This is all made 1000x worse by the toxic Stamina meta which spawned when Dark Brotherhood released and has gotten worse ever since, and will reach a new peek soon with One Tamriel. I'm mostly sticking to PvE in One Tamriel, but I know full well that I must PvP away from the lag to have any fun.

For the first time since Orsinium launched, I'm going to home a new campaign to stray from Haderus (which I MAY still fight in, but only in IC). My home campaign will be Thornblade.

So sad, and yet so true... It's a sad moment in ESO history, when the once legendary Doncellius chooses to spend the majority of their time in PVE. These are very dark times indeed... Anyway, don't forget about that dungeon run tomorrow. We have some stuff to do. :p

I heard about the good old days in PvP. I started to get my feet wet with it during the TG period when the scales were tipped towards magicka.

My first character was a Nord tank, and my second was Templar healer. Needless to say, I didn't belong in PvP with these two PvE-oriented characters. It wasn't easy to survive PvP on a templar back then, even when I respecc'ed her as a DPS. She rocked PvE grinding in the sewers though. I made a magicka Sorc and entered the fray with her. Shield stacking made it easy for a beginner to learn. It was forgiving, because you could get out of harms way if things got bad.

After a while of PvPing with mostly my Sorc, I decided to make a mag NB and mag DK, experimenting with both and finding mNB to be my genuine favorite PvP class. I could do ok by myself, but I felt unbeatable with my more veteran PvP friends.

At that point, they were already complaining about PvP lag and the demise of solo PvP play. I tended to avoid open-world PvP. I can't stand the riding for 10 minutes to fight for 3 minutes and die thing. I LOVED to play in the arena district in skull of corruption. It was small scale and forgiving if you died (PS4 NA). But... it got ruined with the spawn penalty and flags. I haven't been into PvP other than to get vigor and whatnot for almost 6 months. I've watched PvP become less and less conducive to small-scale fighting.

My perspective is a narrow one, but I miss the small-scale action in the arena district in IC. I miss being able to be competitive in PvP with my magicka classes. I miss when going into PvP I wasn't insta wrecked by crazy bursty builds. It's unforgiving to the PvP scrubs like me, who are still learning. I remember in TG being intimidated by going into PvP to run into the PvP elites who are just pro-PvPers. It's even worse now.

Play a sorc if you want to kill NBs. I don't even go for them, it just happens. They're so squishy I've killed them with accidental disintegration procs as I've run past them with boundless storm. Sorcs have the best mobility so can pick their fights. I have an overload bar where I put useful skills like rapids, purge, defensive rune and proxy det. Before I mount I toggle overload and then ride to my destination at max speed using the rapids on my 3rd bar while protected from ganks by rune. Sorcs are the swiss army knife of pvp, and in my opinion are the least frustrating class to pvp with assuming you enjoy the play style.

some yes, now stamina meta is annyoing, but now I see more heavy templars/dk stamina than just nb but also.....old day of pvp was better not much long ago or long ago? when stamina build didnt exist? only magica dk meta? 80%+ of EP population magdk because of dunmer, fire, and this reflect before nerf, do you missing those days? or other where stamina was finally just playable? which time of eso pvp you missing with what build was FOTM? :p

Yup! I am very busy irl right now but we definitely need to fit in those runs! Try not to spread word of exactly what I'm farming though..... basically keep the specific dungeon a secret. I want to post the vid of that vWGT solo before I release the build! Also the drop rates seem to be horrible based on my previous farming attempts. Luckily we only need to go up to the third boss each time!

If I'm not 1vXing in PvP, I'm doing ridiculous stuff like this in PvE. :) I'll be back in Cyrodiil..... just not in Haderus.

Volatile Armor up at all time (for mitigation + healing received), reactivate to break their cloak and put a decent DoT on them (it has a pretty huge range, even if it doesn't say it in the tooltip).

Try to keep the pressure up at all time, since mDK self healing sucks, rely on Power lash & Burning embers to keep your health bar going, keep talons up and stay behind them.

On a side note: I find IC to be much better than Cyro for mDK, as control / zoning is much easier, and it's easier to stack opponents with wise use of Line of sight.

I myself don't really know who's worse though, the Nightblades you can't touch cause they're always cloaking, or the Dragonknights that are just so impenetrable that they mingle in your group casually as five of yours throw abilities left and right at them.

I used to complain about PvP like this too, (I still do for the most part..) but over time I found my roles. I've actually ganked my first few people with my Stamblade, but that depends highly on if I have my Ultimate up or not and what kind of class the person is. Besides that I RARELY take my Nightblade into Cyrodiil, she's way too squishy and doesn't do enough damage to buffed players. Instead when I want to actually get into ground war mode I take my Templar and act as a Ranged Support character. Vampire's Bane, Dark Flare, Aurora Javelin, and Radiant = much carnage when the enemy isn't focused on me.
