Can we get rid of poisons now?

Or at least add "to NPC enemies" so PVE people can still make use of poisons. After killing the same four yellows, they finally came back with a guy using the 60% increase magicka poison. After 1 blazing shield my magicka reserves were run dry and I died lol
You're enabling people with no skill to win fights instead of learning how to play the game. Now I know a lot of skilled people use them too, but they are over the god damn top.
I don't want them nerfed, I just want them gone from PVP, forever.
You've had your fun, now let's get rid of them.

Yeah, I don't like the poisons and won't use them myself. Nothing like fighting 5+ enemies and 3 of them are bowtards stacking poisons on you for 100% uptime. Add in a few beamplars and Velidreth proccing stam users and you have nearly my daily Cyrodiil encounter.

Heh, well I'd be a bit of a hypocrite considering I never wanted them in the first place. I honestly don't believe they belong in PVP. They're far too strong.

If you think about it Poisons like those actually give Hybrids an advantage lol unless you get hit with both a Magicka AND Stamina cost increase and they stack then you're screwed...

I guess technically my build is hybrid-esque now. The thing is, if I have no magicka I can't use my shield, if I have no stam I can't block. Poisons are bad for everyone =(

Well if they could not kill you with skill I think it makes sense to use a poison to kill you. I mean that is a strategy. The concept of fair is thrown out the window when you have the knowledge and the strength to take out the enemy when they do not. It is war and not everybody is a honorable warrior who wants to earn respect by defeating their foe. Using poisons is part of playing the game as well. I find it kind of fitting to take out strong foe with poison. Maybe they can make the snake blood passive useful for fighting against alchemical poisons. It makes sense for some to train their body so they cannot die from certian poisons.

I use all 10 skills on my bars when fighting. Definitely not spamming one ability. Well, 9. Repentance when they're all dead, unless I get poisoned.

True enough, but we're talking about something that makes your skills cost 60% more. Just another way to help big groups crush smaller ones.
Every one of those skills you listed has a counter. There is little to no counter when your resource pool all of a sudden dries up because you were poisoned. If they worked in a way that would diminish your pool over time, that might make it more manageable, but it just sucks it all up after a couple of abilities, and it is rather hard to tell when you've been poisoned which makes it worse.

Come on, it's just for 6.4 seconds. You don't die if you pay a javelin 3200 mag instead of 2000 (I don't have my templar now, can't check) for 6.4 sec, neither you don't run out of magicka. You can use light/heavy attacks which cost nothing (counter...).

Let's say, if in those six secs you cast three skill, your increased cost will be of 3-4k magicka. It's not exactly a death sentence...

It isn't just 6.4 seconds. When you are fighting multiple people with poisons you will be poisoned nearly the entire fight.

    Yeah I agree.

I mean the very design of this system was to give people a choice between poisons and enchantments -- with the premise being that they would be on par.

Right now, they are they are anything but on par. Poisons have such a drastic impact on PvP that the only real counter to poison spam is more poison spam.

Adding a mechanic that can only be countered by itself is not adding choice, its adding something that players will have to do. Enchantments just can't compete in PvP.

I love the idea, ZoS, but the current iteration of it is far too much.

Let's face it he is better at set design.

Being a tad factitious, also remove or block passives or go further, block both passives and class skills; heck why not just block everything and require PvP players be naked and carry equal sized Seal Clubs, that way real player skill will determine the outcome. Then complaints can focus on lag, ping and players utilizing cheats.

*Not criticizing the op's comments btw*
