Best Vet Maelstrom Build?

Title says it all.

I have a magicka sorc and stamblade but I don't feel as if either of them could complete it. If you think they can, what builds etc would you go for?

Easiest run I've ever done was Stam sorcerer, I've beat it on every class. 5 twice born 5 vicious ophidian. Crit surge/hurricane and it's a wrap

If you haven't already see Joy's Guide. I think the guide is more important than spec though she does articulate some class specifics.

MagSorc is widely viewed as one of the easiest magicka specs to complete it on. Stamblades regularly get the highest scores. Both can do it. It's more about player skill an investing the time to learn the arena.

A tried and true Magicka Sorcerer setup is:

Bar 1: Destruction Staff
1. Crushing Shock/Force Pulse
2. Crystal Fragments
3. Elemental Blockade
4. Inner Light
5. Bound Armor
U. Shooting Star/Overload

Bar 2: Dual Wield
1. Liquid Lightning
2. Hardened Ward
3. Surge
4. Rune Prison
5. Bound Armor
U. Overload

Overload Bar:
1. Hardened Ward
2. Liquid Lighting
3. Flex Slot
4. Inner Light
5. Bound Armor

Gear is usually 5 Piece Julianos/TBS with 5 Piece Elegant and 2 Piece Kena

Mundus is the Thief (Thief + Shadow with TBS)

The whole build revolves around killing the bosses really quickly with Overload.

Hilariously, my stamplar was a cakewalk compared to my mag sorc, magblade, and magplar. Whatever class and spec you are most comfortable playing and strongest at is your best bet.

...except mag DKs. Though if you're still mag dk atm, you're hardcore and will be fine lol.

If you don't have vigor on your stamblade I would stick with the sorc.

Er...well I'm still not done; I'm on the final boss with my Magicka Sorcerer, but I'm no Sorcerer main, so it's pretty uncomfortable for me, and filled with mechanical issues. But to where I've gotten now, it's been about 5 hours total, but if we compress it between the times I quit in the middle of a round and stuff like that, it's only 3.5 hours.

General rule of thumb is that your first clears should take between 6 and 12 hours, often depending on your knowledge of mechanics and spawns, and your skill and how comfortable you are with your class.

Make sure to do your research about the arena beforehand. Watch videos and read guides and stuff like that.

It would probably be easier to learn it on your magsorc but faster with your stamblade once you know it well. All the highest scores on EU are stamblades, they clear rounds fast as hell but they lack survivability.

Easier would be on Stamsorc, very high survivability and great damage. Race change to something like Redguard would help ofc but i completed it on my Breton stamsorc at cp270 in epic gear so it's not requiered. So don't worry about your race too much if you want to try respeccing your magsorc. Race bonuses help but they don't make or break a class/build.
