Will you cancel your ESO plus for the sake of this game?

No! Completely opposite. The question should be "Will you buy sub for the sake of this game?"

No. I enjoy the game despite it's flaws, no game is perfect. This game has done a complete 180 since its 4/4/14 launch where the game was largely unfinished and bugged to the point of game breaking in some instances. I'm proud of that turnaround. It's not completely fixed, but worlds better than it was and I love the Elder Scrolls franchise and I choose to support that. This is a great game and I'd like to continue playing it until TES:6 comes along. Who knows, I may continue after the TES:6 if ESO is still going strong.

I wouldn't cancel my sub for the sake of this game. That's really stupid. I cancelled my sub because of lag and systematic enforcement of imbalance though.

And I don't care that the PVE Part of the game is playable. Personally I wouldn't mind if they deleted the complete PVE content. Modded Skyrim was waaaaaay better. Only reason to play ESO for me is to fight a war in Tamriel against real players with a wide variety of customisable yet viable character builds from the TES Universe. That's why I bought the game in the first place and that's what has been advertised everywhere.

This is the best question. I have been subbing since PC launch every month. I was there during the very buggy launch, but I had faith in Zos and they have fixed a ton of problems. Even PvP has gotten lots better. I only lag or crash very seldom in Cyrodiil. Threats to quit don't accomplish anything. That is the negative route. I prefer the positive route and give them my support. Verbally and Financially..

No, I have recently subbed because I want to support the development of the game for the foreseeable future, and because I can now afford to do so. I don't sub for the perks or benefits and they have never really appealed to me. But either way - my choice, my money.

If we stopped giving them money, how would they employ the developers and sysadmins to fix the game? Your logic is flawed.

They have devs. They just spend all day updating the crown store

So that is what your gripe is REALLY about. No need to hide it behind a fake poll.

I complained to ZoS when they said that the game had to be subbed after the first 30 days (PC) because I felt that was wrong to have to rent the game on a monthly basis having previously bought it in advance. So I quit and waited until the console release. They didn't get a penny from me for 15 months for which there was no dlc released.

Now they get my £8.99 every month because I choose to do that and look at the dlc we all can get by choice.

It is preferred that being an ordinary person I like to be asked for my money and not be told to pay up.

Well canceling your subscription is one of the few means how players can show that they are not happy with core development decisions. I finally decided to cancel mine a few monthes ago when Matt Firor stated that people who play the game 3 weeks and then stop are more important than those who log in regularly for more than 6 months.

He stated no such thing, you're twisting his words. One of the core principles of business is bringing in new customers, and if they come and leave quickly then they will try what they can to bring them back. Likewise, those who have been in the game for a long time and leave also will be enticed to come back via the same method. It's basic marketing, really. Do what you can to bring customers back and make them happy so they stay more/longer.

    Gandi did.

Actually he stopped eating because of European oppression . The making of cotton shirts and over worked underpaid people's . A great Man he was sacrificed everything to make positive change .

Ah but thats just displacing the argument. European colonialism is the origin of modern western social values, a system which continues to perpetuate world hunger.

And if you continue to pump resources into a broken community system designed to generate revenue, it will never be fixed for the community because it is ultimately simply serving its intended purpose of generating revenue.

Its more like trying to get a drug addict to quit using drugs by giving them more drugs, than solving world hunger by not eating.

Also on PS4. Cancelled a while ago because the lag and bugs are so frustrating. It's never going to be fixed so I refuse to spend another penny on a broken game. Too much effort put into the crown store crap over making the game work properly.

And that's where you are wrong. There is a completely different team for the Crown Store than the Bug Fixers so both can be done without interfering with each other.

We all dislike the bugs in the game and some are downright infuriating but nothing interferes with bug fixing whatsoever, because they have a team dedicated to it. The process isn't as simple as many make it out to be, as expressed via an ESO Live awhile back.

ESO will make improvements when they gain any real form of competition.

Attempting to bankrupt them will not communicate a need to fix their stuff. It'll communicate a need to milk the playerbase for all their worth, then cash in and leave.

Turned off my sub over a year ago.
I'll only try it to see if they fixed just ESO plus but they haven't.

No idea why ppl are still spending money on this if you're on Xbox one and having issues.

The mentality of other comments that they need money to continue developing is also very concerning as that isn't how it works. Development for future is based off prior profits and content takes 6-12 months to develop and release so it's been a year and no effort has gone into fixing much of anything on Xbox one.

Insanity is doing the same thing expecting different results.
It doesn't pay off....but if you stop paying, things will change.

Somehow I don't think this poll/thread is going the way OP had anticipated. And somehow I don't think he's interested in listening to any of the people presenting logical, reality-based reasons why they find major flaws with his reasoning.

There is no point sabotaging the game to get things fixed . They will fix things and people will still find parts of the game to enjoy . If you don't feel the subscription is worth all the bugs op , I agree but don't expect anyone to feel the same as I do ever . I only purchase crowns and things I enjoy .

I didn't imply that he never put anything into supporting the game with his INITIAL purchase. I did imply that he continues to reap the benefits of the entertainment without any additional support for the game. If you want a game to succeed long term, continued support is a MUST. The initial purchase dollars are LONG gone.

My point (and I thought I made it pretty clear) is that I will continue to support this game with my subscription as long as I'm entertained by the game. When that no longer occurs, my money will be gone, my support will be gone, my input to the forums will be gone, and I will move on completely.

I see where OP is going with this its a slippery slope if ESO loses money and subs then ZOS would be under pressure to actually fix the game in order to save TESO. On the other hand if TESO isn't doing well then they might just close the game down altogether and that means no more TESO.

I agree. Witholding money in this way thinking it will force ZoS to make improvements is NOT what will happen. What WILL happen is no more TESO. They will just close up shop and move on to the next project.
