There have been several posts thanking ZOS for being incredibly tolerant and amazing - and I'm very grateful for the team and the work they do! However, nowhere have I seen a thank you thread for you, the community.
I just wanted to say a big Thank You to the ESO community for everything you do. You may not realise it but by being your generally awesome selves you make hard days easier, grey days brighter and sad days happier.
We may have our share of toxic posts and members but they are greatly outnumbered by positive, helpful, friendly people like yourself.
From a personal perspective, too, I know I feel among friends here and enjoy visiting the forum, seeing all the deep debates and funny gifs as well as the general high spirited attitude a lot of you bring.
So, thanks everyone. You're pretty awesome

Tenesi Faryon of Telvanni - Dunmer Sorceress who deliberately sought sacrifice into Cold Harbor to rescue her beloved.
Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.***Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.
House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...
Nibenay Valley Chapterhouse - Where now stands only desolate ground and a dolmen there once was a thriving community supporting one of the major chapterhouses of the Order Draconis1 -

Not here to fish for agrees and awesomes, just being honest.
I have been around a long time in online games I have seen much worse and some better but this is far from the worst I have seen.
I do see some good posts from the community and there are some really good posters here and helpful there was time in gaming where anyone could come in and ask a question and get help and not flamed, I miss those days, or you could have a civil debate about something people respected each others point of view even it if it was different from theirs.. Hats off to those that still practice making the forums a fun and informative place.
I have had conversations with several of the devs here and I enjoyed those conversations, I may not always agree with the direction they may be taking, but I also know that I am one person looking at the game from my perception I do not see the whole picture or know what is going on in ever aspect of the game, I some times make critical posts, but I never resort to name calling or personal attacks, they are just employees following orders from the higher ups just all of us do in the working world, unless you happen to be the owner of a business or something.
But over the years I have seen forums of all kinds degrade and resort to name calling personal attack to just nasty, no respect for others if their opinions are different, this does not even have to be a gaming forum it can be movies, music, tv shows, politics, it is a crazy world full of hate these days it seems, and the animinity the internet brings lets a lot of people act out.
I appreciate the dev team and the work they do even if it sometimes it is not going in the direction I wish it would have. If at some point that direction puts me off I will find a new game, but for now this is my game of choice.Edited by kevlarto_ESO on September 17, 2016 2:02PM1 -
