The Apprentice Stone

I think the apprentice stone should be reverted back to Spell Pen from its current Spell Power. I believe it would be a nice buff to magika dps without being unbalanced. In the games current state it is far easier to stack spell resistances, an defenses from spells in general.
Any thoughts on spell power vs. spell pen? I would love to get some feedback on this.
