Will you cancel your ESO plus for the sake of this game?

I have played ESO since console launch and im sick and tired of spending money on a broken game, and for what? a few crowns per month and an xp increase. not worth it. Maybe if we stop giving them money they'll fix it.

If we stopped giving them money, how would they employ the developers and sysadmins to fix the game? Your logic is flawed.

Would I like them to address bugs in a quicker fashion sure... but what makes you think not paying them will get you anything faster.. all that will do is make anything come at a slower rate.. or it being shut down.. and if its shuts down.. where would you go and complain then?

I already don't pay a subscription because I don't think it's worth it for me.

I have no problem with the game in general, it's no worse than any other I've played, but the subscription benefits are not worth the cost, especially when my real-life means it's impossible to predict how much time I might have in any given month. I much prefer to buy things from the crown store directly.

But as much as the idea of a grand statement might be appealing to you I think it's highly unlikely ZOS are simply refusing to fix bugs out of some kind of childish spite, which also means it's highly unlikely that they'll suddenly fix them all in one go simply because some people on the forum stop subscribing.

If sub numbers did drop enough for them to notice they're more likely to devote more time to adding novelty stuff like costume dying to the subscription to entice people back.

They have devs. They just spend all day updating the crown store

This. If I get to the point that I'm canceling my plus that means I'm leaving. Why would I cancel it to hope they get better? Should I leave, big deal. If MANY leave, then gamble boxes go p2w faster, or they shut down and move to the next project. Do I wish some things were different ? Yup. Am I still enjoying the game? Yup.

Not necessarily. If we all carry on paying like if everything was fine, they have no incentive to fix stuff. Logic is not flawed.
That said, doing something just for the purpose of having another person or entity do another thing is complicated, twisted and risky.
I'd simply say : if you think the game's worth it, pay, if not, don't.

The game has run very smoothly for me since PC launch, albeit I have no interest in PvP or competitive PvE. I have a subscription on one of my two accounts and see no reason to cancel it.

By and large the only reason people talk of cancelling their subscription is because they want a free ride. If they don't think the game is worth playing then they'll talk of quitting, which is altogether different.

I only subscribed to dye my costumes because I'm a cheap ***. Buying crowns in bulk on sales and using an empty guild's bank for storing mats for the win.

    Yes and no.

You clearly belong to the portion of the playerbase (per your own description : the casual PvEer) that was best served by the game and least impacted by issues. Others were severely hit by lag, lack of new content (november 2014 till september 2015, that was long) and balance issues.

He was recently killed by three mudcrabs, while he was collecting resources on a beach. His goal in life now is to make ZOS bankrupt.

Lol then the game would just go away if everyone stopped supporting it.
I will keep paying for the craft bag alone.
Do I get aggravated when I keep experiencing the same bug over and over? Of course but less money does not equal better game

The guy at the top has it correct about not going to stop eating to stop world hunger.

Honestly when I stopped playing for about 3 to 4 months I just left my sub active and came back to a good chunk of crowns.

I did that too. I was planning to buy dye stamps until I found out they're only available with pre-set colours.

So instead I bought 30 days of ESO plus and dyed all my costumes on all my characters for £9.

Broken game? I am able to log into the game and play it just fine. No crashes or bugs. If there is lag it is minimal. I can play for hours without any issues. The game is far from broken.

The thing is that many valid criticisms are raised about the game, but its still a really good game. I still love playing after two and a half years, so my subscription stays.

you hit a problem in game?

file a bug report. that's how things get fixed.

daft polls on the forum serve only for people to vent. it is all rather pointless. and yes i hold my hands up for contributing to it.

Oh dear... Let me explain how this works, okay sugar? In order to develop content, you need developers. In order to have developers, you need money to pay them. If you starve them, they won't be able to do anything.
