"Adds 400 xxx damage to your xxx abilities" Sets

Do you guys think that this sets are going to be worth it?
I mean the 5 Set piece bonus is not boosted by major sorcery or brutality. So compared to Hundings it gives only 40 more damage (and probably even less with mundus/several passiva).
I know you get another damage bonus with all the sets, but also a health one. In the end you might get a little bit more raw damage, but less stam/crit/regen.

I have no PTS, otherwise I would have tested it. Just wanted to hear your opinions about this sets.

Depends on what one you use.

These sets come with jewellery as well.

There is one adds 400 wpn dmg to your physical abilities.

Plus they seem to have better 2/3/4 bonus for pvp, health/ mag or stam/ dmg / 400 dmg.

Don't think they'll be very popular, no.

Suns already popular on a mag dk.

I can see the physical dmg one being popular on a stam sorc as they do all physical.

Most of them won't be used though

The question isn't whether or not it's worth it, but how many more sets like these are going to be implemented into the game? Of course everyone wants additional XYZ to pump up their stats as this game has been a numbers game for a while now and having the mathematical advantage can sometimes more than not be the deciding factor in PvP for example, but would everybody rather have some more creative 5 piece sets? And I don't mean RNG proc based sets like 'When you teabag a player you have a 8% chance to summon this or that and deal 1524523762 XYZ damage GG WP AP. Or 'When you deal XYZ (95% chance of being flame dmg) you do an additional (some underwhelming numeric value) for XYZ seconds'. Would be nice to see more creative 5 piece bonuses making use of game mechanics, for example TBS uses the mundus system and we have some sets coming that relate to provisioning, but more times than not they become really niche and underwhelming in comparison to these flat weapon/spell dmg sets (Excluding TBS). There are currently alot of sets that are unique or at least were then seems ZOS have taken their characteristics and made a few minor changes in values, how to proc effect and name of set then call it done.

Now don't get me wrong there are a lot of unique 5 piece bonus sets, but my point was more about having such sets actually be applicable and not comparable with such sets from the OP, would create more dynamic gameplay I would hope.

Did someone tested it? If those numbers are not boosted by major buffs, those sets wont be popular.(agility+1kena+veli gives more stats)

    Well just look here http://elderscrollsonline.wiki.fextralife.com/Sets
But the point is not the set itself, but that the 400 damage bonus doesn´t get boosted by major sorcery for example and if this Sets are still going to be as good as they seem on the first look.

(2 items) Adds 1064 Max Health
(3 items) Adds 967 Max Stamina
(4 items) Adds 129 Weapon Damage
(5 items) Adds 400 Weapon Damage to your Physical Damage abilities

Compared to Hundings you get 169 more damage (probably even less due to fighters guild and other skills) and more health, you lose 7% crit. For PvE not worth it I guess. For pure PvP burst maybe.
And yes, you can use 5 set pieces due to the jewelry, but the 5 pieces bonus is nothing really special that I would choose it over a Monster Set and Agility.

Don´t get me wrong, I don´t think that this sets are worthless, I think they are good, but not as good as it seems and I doubt that they will be BiS.

Simple math, under 2.5k weapon or spell damage the sets are good over that, the crit damage one is better. Non crit damage builds will like these but then it's a skill mix/class/play style question.

I can think of a few builds that would love this

Can't see them being too popular, it won't effect your healing if it's just 'physical damage' ect so personally I'd rather roll with the norm.

Could potentially be useful for PvE groups, when you want to maximize damage and can rely on a healer

DKs use silks of the sun because everything they use is fire damage, and some of their heals come from damage dealt like burning embers

Yes they will be worth it for some, because you haven't taken into account the weapon ultimates.

i personally would like to see many more 2 and 3 piece sets that are slightly weaker than what we have(so a toon fitted out with 2/3 piece sets would be comparable to one with 2 5 pieces, more total 'buffs' but each being just a tad weaker than the 5peice bonuses - IE less agility silliness, but use some of the easily forgotten or unknown 3 piece sets nobody uses)

Was hard to tell because i don't have dps parse on my PTS client but tried the netch set on a magicka Sorc with overload build. The + shock damage bonus was weaker than the overkill (Molag kena set) + juliano's buff. It's a very niche build though.
