crafting stations - default to the set

Slight rant / slight frustration with myself for being dumb, again.

But wouldn't it be cooler if the Set Crafting stations defaulted to the damn set.....

I mean who is going to travel to the back and beyond and want by default to create a standard set. Mats wasted again by being a forgetful idiot!

It's generic for us, you have to side scroll with RB to get the set.

I just did CP160, Pact style and improved to purple grrrr

IMO they should just remove the non-set option from set crafting stations, i can't think of any scenario where someone would want to craft a non-set piece there. Right now it serves no other purpose than being a trap for people not paying attention.

All the set crafting stations I go to are defaulted to the set they are for and never the normal non-set.

Same story here. I basically cannot craft set gear while drunk. Have to do it while sober and need to double check. And triple check because that one time I crafted set item but one piece was CP150 version lol....

You get a preview to the left where you can see what you are about to craft. I advice you to look there before pressing craftbutton.

You honestly can't blame the game for mistakes made while you are drunk.. And I would prefer that we keep the ability to craft regular gear from the set stations.. I have used that option quite a bit in my time, when people ask me for a certain piece of gear.. For example just a standard training weapon.. Then it's nice to be able to use any station and just slab that blade together

^ lol, yes I know that. It also clearly says it at the top. I'm talking about it defaulting, as it would be common sense. Unless they like it as a slight mat sink, enough people make the mistake.

No I'm not blaming the game, I just wish the UI could be made more intuitive to prevent silly mistakes like this.

Well aren't you special then, because I'm not just making this up. I can't count how many times I've crafted sets and had to switch to the set first. I've also noticed different tabs open for different materials... Like Julianos cloth will be set to normal non set by default, however wood will have the shield set tab by default. And this has changed for some random reason too, so now Julianos wood has normal non set by default. Maybe the add ons I use.

I've made more than a few research trait items hundings rage or night mother because that is the default when I use the station. What is worse, for me, is the way levels will shift when you move from chest to gloves to helm to legs. And you never get back the same amount of mats it took to make it, so when you decon the level 24 stuff you made instead of the level 20 stuff your guildie wanted, you're out the mats.....

This shouldn't be a thing. At the same time, I don't know how many times you can be burned and not have it drilled into your head to check everything no less than 1,000 times before crafting the actual item.

We've all done this at one point or another. Try and slow down to make sure your crafting the exact item you want. At CP 160, those are very costly mistakes....

Its true, I checked the rank, and trait and style 3 times over. Just was early AM and tired and made the assumption on the set as default.

Annoyingly i've done it once before! Doh. So hopefully not a third or i'll Necro this thread with my crying.

I seriously go up and down the list like 10 times before crafting cp160 gear. Too much at stake.

Made this mistake myself, 140 ancester silk wasted on a non set item, the rage is unimaginable.

i think they should remove the non set item also.

Another thing... Bind on Equip items... There should be at least an add on to confirm equipment, as I recently was enchanting an item for sale, and accidentally pressed the wrong button... 7k down the drain.
