Is it possible in the near future to implement a token or an added crafting skill to change dropped sets into a known style? This would be great as it takes away from learning crafting styles when trying to obtain specific gear to maximize character. Thanks for any insight you can provide on this being possible or not.

I don't think this would be possible as they would have to redesign every looted set in every known style, a prodigious amount of work that I don't think they are likely to assign resources to.

On the other hand, being able to re-style crafted sets would be possible with minimum changes as all the styles are already in use.
Also, I know this has been mentioned many times before but being able to change traits would be a nice addition to crafting and a way to tame the RNG beast.

Why would they have to redesign sets? A Sting of the Viper chest piece is just an Argonian chest piece, right? And a Dreugh King Slayer helm is just a Dunmer style helm, right? If you could change that to Glass style chest piece via Malachite or a Trinimac style helm via an Auric Tusk, there is already an existing design for a Glass chest and Trinimac helm. I don't think they have to "redesign" every crafted set when they come out with a new motif. No one at ZOS is figuring out what a Law of Julianos piece should like like in Order of the Hour style. The set bonus is Julianos. The style is Order of the Hour. Separate pieces of data that can be mixed and matched. I would think the same thing could apply to looted sets.

You're right I forgot they used a lot of existing styles for looted sets. There are only a scant few sets that use unique styles.
