So far on the forums, all the 9 - 10 star people I have seen have "LOL's" and some also have 'Likes'.
As neither of these things exist anymore and Badge progression is how you gain Forum ranks, it is even possible to get to 9 / 10 Stars if you didn't go on the Forums back at launch?

If points towards stars only came from badges, no one would have enough for 10 stars.

Every comment everyone makes will have both people that approve and disapprove. How often people approve of your comments reflects both the poster and the approval. There are all sorts on these forums, both good and bad, and both sides get approval from people. Regarding the latter, kinda sad really...
