So I turn in 2 days worth of writs back to back and open up the reward containers. I find some goodies and only 1 survey but unlike most days I actually find a Psijic Ambrosia Fragment! It hasn't been that long since the last 1 I found but once again it was 1 I don't need. So I open up the other Provisioning container and what do I find? ANOTHER OF THE EXACT SAME FRAGMENT! While I do appreciate the implication here I cannot help but feel as though RNGeebus is mocking me... He's all like "so you want these more often? Ok, here you go!" and then I get all that...

Oh well, least it wasn't the Fragment I already have 5 of lol (although now I have 5 of this one too...)

His ways are always questionable. I'm used to getting lousy treatment from him but this is like good and bad in one. Just weird is what it is...

I also haven't had Psijic Amrbosia parts in aaaages. And survey rewards seem to have dried up too

I do get the occasional trait stone, yay..

Ive had 1 fragment since it releasesd and ive done tons of writs.

In almost a year of writs on a single char I saw about a dozen of those. And it's not max level, because I don't have Orsinium. I've got 5/7 but sold the doubles. This stuff was supposed to be rare anyways. By comparison I have ~150 glass fragments. I've recently stared doing gear writs on an alt and will soon start the consumable ones as well. I'll see what drops.

Aren't they cheap as hell nowadays? I bought one fragment when they were new for like 50-60k or something. Just buy them and sell the rest

Can't remember the last time I got psijic fragment and I have three chars doing daily provisioning writs. I think it was sometime in the spring, May I believe. Not complaining tho. I get my share of temp alloys from BS writs.

No, I curse RNGeebus cause for the past 6 weeks I have been running dark anchors looking for the Dremora Pirate. I've been doing 12+ anchors/day around Wayrest and Deshaan.

Hm... While I've learned how to craft Psijic Ambrosia months ago, I haven't gotten a Psijic Ambrosia fragment months ago as well. But then again, I don't do my provisioning writs in hopes of those fragments. I do them for the ingredients in which they contain. As a craftsman of every kind, and someone who prefers to be self-efficient and self-sustained...? Those ingredients received are of much value, compared to the Psijic Ambrosia fragments.

On EU PC ambrosia recipe fragments are around 3K, same as most tier 5-6 purple recipes, and the complete recipe is 25-30K. Not that much actually. And the drop rate depends a lot on the tier of the writ, just like the other rare drops. The higher the writ tier, the higher the chance to get purple recipes, ambrosia recipe fragments or purple crafting ingredients.

Trade the extra frag for one you need or sell it and buy one you need. Really not that big of a deal. Smallest of any RNG issue in the game.

Eventually I gave up on getting all the fragments when I had the first 5 and kept getting duplicates so I used to money I made from selling duplicates to buy the last 2 fragments

I have been waiting for the 5th fragment to drop for weeks. I have made a few coins with all of the other duplicates. For what it's worth, I have not collected a Potent Nirncrux for at least a month or at least it seems that way!

Maybe I am not hopping on one foot enough or singing the right song as I spend my time in Tamriel.

lol after years I STILL Do not have that recipe made. got 3-4 of the pieces (in bulk level of duplicates) but never the full set.

Think in the end I had 3 trader guilds full (30 sales each) full of those fragments, cuz i Finally decided to quit 'hoping' for the full recipe.

For writs RNG has always been broken.

In Craftaholics (a guild on the PC NA server) we run a Psijic fragment exchange service. Our members just send in the duplicate fragment and let the "banker" know what fragment they want.

Simple and relatively self-sustaining once it is set up.

RNG gods hate me when it comes to crafting writs. I have yet to get a fragment piece, let alone many glass motif pages pieces, I only got 3 out of about 80 i've done.

Best way I found is sacrifice. I found Justin Bieber and Nicki Minaj and sacrificed them to RNGeesus and finally got my Precise Maelstrom Inferno Staff. Not only that, I eliminated two talentless people from the music industry.

6 is what I need most. That would complete the recipe for my main Provisioner. For my main to complete it I need 3 of the fragments, 1 3 and 6 if I recall correctly.

lol You think I'm lucky in general? Hell no, far from it. In fact, this little burst of luck is only going to have a whiplash effect so big that I probably won't see another Fragment for the next 3 months...

Are you doing the writs at the last two tiers? Because I started getting ambrosia recipe fragments and rare purple ingredients only when I started doing them at penultimate tier (I have skills maxed out but I don't have Orsinium) probably around February. So I've got maybe 10-12 fragments, 5 unique and a the rest doubles, out of ~200 writs. Thus I can extrapolate a drop rate of about 5-6%. Which is not bad.
