Wrothgar quarry quest - no go!

There have been posts about this topic but dated way back, however I tried completing this quest tonight but couldn't as it seemed to be bugged and I could only operate the lever, nothing else. Has anyone else had this problem recently? You should be able to move the orbs into alignment and you use the lever to reset them. I could see the items I was supposed to operate highlighted in yellow but could not interact with them.

✭✭✭✭✭I have done this quest 4 times and it worked each time.
Now, as for moving the things, you don't activate them, like you would think. Which stopped me the first time through. You hit them with your weapon. I prefer a Bow, but anything will work, as seen in this video.
