Seems like all guilds do this that want a kiosk . 2K gold a week minimum as a forced lottery ticket . I've never won a lottery by doing this . Every guild I've joined I donated and they still lose a kiosk or can't get one . Then the last one I was in just disbanded . So the GM walked away with a bunch of gold and donated stuff . I do better solo . I can grind more gold solo then I can make trading .

I would deal with that in a rawl ka trader maybe, but it isn't worth it for a Belkarth trader.

People that come here and complain about Guilds that chase them down for donations or requirements for memberships remind me of people who are in an terrible relationship and complain about it instead of doing something about it.

Leave the Guild, don't complain about it.

It's not like there are not 100's of other ones out there that just like to have members and don't hassle them. None of the guilds I am in hassle me for money. The ones that do run Raffles and the like are purely optional.

And, for the record, I am in one Trading Guild (that seems more social than pure trading) that gets a Kiosk in a major trading center each week, and the 4 purely Social Guilds I am in, get a Kiosk more often than not. So, I have 3 to 5 Kiosks to sell through each week. And, I casually make 300K to 500K each month in Kiosk sales. By casual, I mean I play the game and sell the excess, not play the game to find stuff to sell.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

A guild where I have to donate? No thanks, I wouldn't have even joined that guild you are in, and from the sounds of it if I had I would have left very shortly after.

From what you're describing it sure sounds like this guild exists for no reason other than to fleece the members and enrich the GM (and possibly officers).

Unfortunately, these guilds do exist. In some cases it's intentional fleecing, in others it's based on an element of favoritism.

First, quit the guild. You're not happy. Just bail because it's not going to change and you're never going to be happy.

Second, ask yourself what you want from a guild. You want a trader in Coldharbor? In Daggerfall? Then you're probably going to have to pay some fees, usually in the form of raffles. I accept paying 5k a week in gold for my guild and try to sell at least 4 times that amount. I can usually pull it off so I try not to complain. Sometimes I get lucky and pull in 50k a week in sales. That makes it worthwhile just to have that access.

Third, what kind of social experience do you want? Find people that think the same way you do. A friend once told me joining a guild is like dating. You're not going to like every date and you can't expect them to like you.

Remember, being in guild is not just about dumping money into a bank. It's about helping people, too. Sure, it's not always convenient to run a trial or dungeon with guildmates, but try to make time. Volunteer to hep them. Let people know a little about you and when you're available. And, you know, be nice. This is a social experience and just because you have an avatar, doesn't mean you get to act any way you want.

When I read the OP's post, I thought - I admit it - that if I knew this person, I probably wouldn't react (as a guildmaster). But if this was a low activity or often absent guild member who I didn't recognize, then I would probably have some concerns. I might even PM them to find out what was going on.

Just leave. I know that's hard because you put so much in to it but a guild that runs itself like a iron fist kingdom and boots people to the curb regardless of what contributions you've made are guilds not worth sticking with. They won't last long or they will have a constant flux of new players that are never loyal.

There are a lot of other guilds thst are kind, appreciative, and supportive. Especially towards those that help fellow members. Cut out the toxic trash. You don't need to feel like *** in a game that's meant to be fun.

Those that seem shocked that such guilds exist have the smell of 'pc platform' on them. Those comments are immaterial to the op's post from a ps4 standpoint. If a pc player wants to get a clue what console has been like from start to just a short time ago, turn off all add ons and use a controller while putting your keyboard in a locked desk drawer. No text chat, no widespread communication other than what comes through the headset.

Each person has been starting from a position of isolation, and a trade guild held power by being the source of the income that paid gear repair bills and paid for the potions that got used for trials etc. close off the source of income and those bills didn't get paid - THAT is the social dynamic involved in the guild trader economy. THAT is why people would gladly pay 5k in dues and yell at those who want things to change, because a change might mean no more income to support those gear repairs etc.

There are deep shifts in the social aspects of the game happening on the consoles. The effects of text chat are still originating, let alone secondary consequences and ripples. Such as kiosks - the second tier trade guilds find some of their biggest sellers can move select high value products as quickly via text in /zone rather than wait for someone to make their way out to hews bane or orsinium or belkarth.

Just wait till all the players are re-sorted efficiently into mixed zones rather than the inefficient separate zones. Each server will have fewer zones to attend to, each zone with more people. The insular console situation that is changing from being able to rub elbows with *everyone* in a zone via text chat will experience that word 'everyone' will include other alliances.

Pc platform, you can whisper to other alliances. Console cannot. There is no text chat between alliances at all. The entire meme of the rage tell after a ganking never existed on consoles. These are small differences, but they add up.

So when a console player posts about being unsure about leaving a clearly abusive and becoming-shady guild, you pc platformers need to remember that your experience playing is not the same as our experience playing even though it's the same game.

Find a new guild, and never put anything valuable in your guild bank, and never take anything out. That's the way the problems seem to start, no matter if you compensate with gold.

Guilds are atrictly buainess or pleasure ( trading or raiding), and i prefer not to mix those.
Skye Cloude - Sorc DPS, Master Crafter. Main, the bestest
Lae Lenne - Templar Healer Trial grade.
Dromede - Stamina Nightblade, she's a newb and doesn't know what she's doing
V'oghatta - Stamplar pretending to be a tank
Ulville Thonvella - aspiring Fire Mage, be careful around her fire sticks!
Dromedaris - lost and not found. Named after a shoe, what else can you expect from her? A proper tank in her wildest dreams
Swims-Naked - too pretty to grind, too silly to quest.
Sun Flair - Dunmer Templar that can't spell for life. To bad she's too broke to afford a name change... Well, at least she's pretty...

I've been in a lot of great guilds. Never been in a bad guild. The problem is the way the game is setup I have to choose between social guilds and trade guilds, and I tend to bounce back and forth between that. Again, I've never been in a bad guild... just been lucky.

But I wish I could have X trade guilds and Y social guilds.

Since launch (3/30/14) I have been in a total of 8 guilds. 3 of my guilds I have been with since launch. I am in two of the oldest Trade Guilds on PC/NA, and they never demand things and are totally transparent with all aspects of gold, etc.
There are tons of better guilds out there and I would never join one as what you described..
    My advise? ......
