Organizing inventory is a stress relief for me since I'm a hoarder.Otherwise I make a new character, gear up one of my lowbies, or (like others) do some collecting while I enjoy the scenery and get some good screenshots.
Sometimes I will also go back to some old areas to see if there are any non-essential quests I skipped on my first playthrough. Some of the shorter quests are some of the funniest.
There are already plenty of great ideas on the thread. Sounds like you have a lot to deal with so I hope you find an experience that helps you unwind.

This is true.As many have said though, staying away from PUG's is generally a smart thing to do on bad days. There's a chance you'll meet some amazing people, but on a bad day, the chance of meeting some not as nice people isn't worth it

Think of all the new things that'll put your bank in trouble this time.
[edit because quotes are hard]
So I'm feeling like there's a bullet in my stomach coping with the loss of a family member, foolishly I decide ESO would cheer me up. Normally it does but today I've been kicked at a final boss after 45 minutes of fighting through a dungeon, laughed at, sworn at, been trolled and kicked from a guild without knowing why xD
If I don't laugh I'll cry. A lot.
So! What do you do in ESO to relax? Any funny stories? What have you called your pet or mount?

I go to the Forums and talk to Cazzy. One of my favourite ESO community Members

What have you called your pet or mount?

Lately I have been watching my character relax while waiting near the giant and his mammoth in The Rift. I can't take it alone. After so long sitting in the grass I wonder if anyone remembers he is here...

Before I reply I want to say I'm sorry to hear about your relative Cazzy, loss is something you can never fully heal from. I'm still grieving over some loved ones myself so I know what you are going through. I wish you and your family well.
(This is a response to the actual quote) - Sounds like something I do but not exactly. I love some of the sceneries in Cyrodiil and I like traveling to where there are lakes, it's very calm and peaceful. But does feel lonely after awhile if alone. I set my character down on a high rock that over looks the water and I always silently wish that one day a traveler from my own alliance or anothers would come along and sit with me. Maybe we would have a chat about everyday life or whatever comes to our mind. Or have silence, I'd welcome any company. It never happened yet but it would be a nice break from war and real life stresses. I don't have any family where I currently live and just have my significant other, he works 5 days a week 6am to 7pm so interaction with players is nice to have when I have nobody around.
