So I was in Cyrodiil this morning doing some PvP (which I RARELY ever do cause reasons), and just as I was heading out to go on the offensive with the rest of my little Zerg, I get ganked by a Dominion Superman.

Most players dont know/realize that pvp fighting is in no way synchronized but mostly has 1-2 seconds delay between server and client (independent of ping). I can see that everyday as my girlfriend and I sit next to each other while playing. Her position is always like 8-10 meters (1-2 seconds) ahead of where I see her/she sees me, same for abilities/kills and so on.

He really needs to fix this gap closer anchor point problem . It snares through everything and allows gap close even when target has run out of range . Then some people button mash in between to get more hits in when the gap finally closes . This is total Sheo Famunda Cheese .

I think using macro isn't possible on console, and OP was on console. It seems a serious de-sync problem instead, damage comes several seconds before toppling charge / jab animations.

First off, it has nothing to do with a macro or anything. It's just how @FENGRUSH called this gap close behaviour. And it kinda stuck around. It's some sort of bug that was introduced with the DB patch I believe, where you get stuck in a gap closer animation and all your abilities used in the meantime start piling up. Usually ends with an instant release of everything you used and an instant death of the target. If you check his youtube channel, you can see some clips of that happening. Basically the other perspective opposed to this video here.

This is the very reason I'm getting close to giving up on this game. Lag in Pvp just keeps getting worse with every update. Can't tell you the amount of times I've been in a fight and server/client desync has caused the game to drop 2-3 seconds damage on me with no chance to heal/block/dodgeroll, it's just 100% health and then boom I'm on the ground dead. This all started around the IC release; before that when Pvp would lag the frame rate would drop and the effects of inputs would be delayed so even though it looked horrible cause and effect were still synced now it seems when the game lags instead of slowing the frame rate it just drops frames which makes it look like there is no lag but leads to effect often being registered before cause is displayed.

Even on console people macroslice with pro controllers. It's exploiting a gap closer glitch.

Im sure this bug will be fixed within 6 months or so -_-

I triggered this by accident the other day and felt terrible about it, Gap closed, stuck in animation, tried to use jabs since I had just walked up to the target, nothing, charged a heavy attack, Dawnbreaker, Heavy attack, reverse slice. None of the abilities went off so I started worrying I wasn't seeing incoming damage and blocked, as soon as I blocked everything activated at once and the guy died instantly. Since then I've been able to reliably recreate it on NPCs, if you can get stampede/crit rush to get you stuck in animation(not hard on busy pvp servers) then you can make this happen 100% of the time, its disgusting and cancerous.

This is on Xbox and I was using a vanilla microsoft wireless

Just remember that the movement speed bug was supposed to be fixed a few patches ago. It's now September of 2016.

Macroslicing is a term for a bug when all skills fire off at once.

I've seen something similar to the video. 3 Templars in a line doing exactly the same. I saw them from side on, near one of the lumber mills. Commented about this, in the one of the discussions about cheating, as it looked like they were flying.

My favorite is the stam sorc on ep na tf that can move and shield charge from longer then jav distance even before you can dodge roll and still knocks you down mid dodge.

It doesn't matter what you call it. It's obviously not working as intended and ZOS should get their act together and fix it. It's not something that happens by accident. This happens every day on console.
