Crafting quests and giving crafting some love

Maybe it is just me, but crafting appears to be the Cinderella of ESO. There is so much potential there, a ton of players interested in doing it, and yet the way it is implemented doesn't hang together as well as grunt sword and boarding. Which is fine, but one of the great strengths of this game is diversity and crafting would offer gallons of that, if it was more consistent. The recent threads about the writ returns are a good example of how little has been done to update crafting as ESO has grown. Writs can be done for many purposes, but one of the things that crafting doesn't offer (with the exception of perhaps Twice Born Star) is anything whose equivalent can't be got by getting in there and bashing cobbolds. Sorry, there aren't any cobbolds, but you get what I mean (-: Or dragons, either.

So why not have a line of crafting quests, ZOS? I realise that in a way the writs are supposed to be that, but they don't really tick the box in the way that having dedicated quests for crafters that could get us the skill to build lines of gear as diverse as the telvar sets do. The crafted sets have been around for ever and they have been more or less left to languish and—variety being the spice of life—it might be that the new Craglorn (or somewhere new like it) is the place to build a crafter's paradise. It would provide a base for all the crafter's guilds, a place to root crafter's quests, we could build our craft castles out there with our new line of cowboy builders skills ™ (-: and we could even indulge our passion for being different by having a new saddler's skill line and all. Then if non-crafters want special gear made, all they would have to do is turn up and browse the new improved crafter's showcase store, which would show the best of what all the guilds had to offer and then some imaginative trades could take place. Anyway, you know what I mean. Any mileage in this as an idea?

We could maybe also make patches for ZOS (-: should be easy enough if we could get the rubedo leather..

Love this idea and would like the first quest to enable you to craft jewelry. To complete you must be max level blacksmith

Great idea — it would take crafting to the next level.
