Did I reach the end of hireling emails?

So for the past 2 weeks almost, my enchanter mail has had the same message. I'd really rather just have it start over, then have to read the same exact message over and over each day. My other ones are still going, but I think I put a skill point into enchanting first, so do they all end up like this eventually?

Yes they all stop eventually. I've been getting the same one over and over for the past few months. Doesn't make much difference to me as after the first few months reading ever mail, I couldn't be bothered anymore and just deleted them straight away.

That's weird. Usually, after they go through their message cycle, you get a different hireling and so on. There are a few hirelings for each crafting discipline.

You might be experiencing a bug.
Just so that everyone knows, my Altmer still can't have black hair. About a dozen of Altmer NPCs in the game have black hair. Just saying.

    Meet my characters:
    Command: Do the thing.

Zadarri, Khajiit Fist of Thalmor: The thing was done, as commanded.
Durza gra-Maghul, Orc blacksmith: The thing was done perfectly, in the most efficient way.
Tegwen, Bosmer troublemaker: You can't prove I didn't do the thing.
Sings-Many-Songs, Argonian fisher: Sure, I'll do the thing... Eventually. Maybe.
Aerindel, Altmer stormcaller: After extensive research, I've come to the conclusion that doing the thing would be a waste of resources.
Liliel, Dunmer pyromancer: Aerindel said I shouldn't do the thing. Something about "resources".
Gyda Snowcaller, Nord cryomancer: I will find a way to do it that won't waste resources and make Aerindel proud of me.
Beatrice Leoriane, Breton vampire: I persuaded someone else into doing the thing. You are welcome, dear.
Sahima, Redguard performer: Doing the thing sounds awfully unpleasant and really not my problem.
Ellaria Valerius, Imperial priestess: I'll pray to the Eight for the thing to be done, if it is Their will.

Only some change, some guy took over when his brother got in trouble (I think it was the enchanter hireling) , but it's in the same "storyline". They will eventually stop.

I had the Abnab, Eznab Redguard brothers and after that storyline I've been on Melina Casel the Vampire and looks like I made it to her end and it just repeats the last one. So I'm taking that there's two hirelings for each profession?

They are not necessarily in the same storyline; when they are, the change is often temporary, like when Uraviin Dres takes over Veesk's job for a while, but they had nothing to do with Madam Firilanya who is also a Clothing hireling.

There seem to be at least two "storylines" for each crafting discipline, and one starts when the other ends.

    They "stopped" ages ago.

I think there are two main characters for each hireling, with a couple of stand-ins. If you have a character that starts getting hireling emails they start from the beginning, but they soon come to an end.

One of my characters has been getting the same daily email from Aksel Rockbiter for ages .

Ah, I probably had stopped paying attention by the time the switch happened. :D

I miss the ongoing stories, but on the plus side I don't have to set aside time to read my mails and can just grab the mats and delete and move on.

It would be nice if we could reset them. I only glanced at a few of the messages since launch (I get 36 or so a day) and now I would like to read them.

Hmm, I wonder, does respeccing the skill reset the sequence?
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

As far as I know Magrog The Hammer (for example) will come to a point where he sends you the same message over and over, so yes, they do stop.

I wish there were more stories from Pacrooti, I miss him so much -especially since he didn't get anywhere near to some closure with his story :(

Well, the stories aside (which are nice to read and remind me of the monologues of Bartimaeus the djinni from Jonathan Stroud’s trilogy), I truly wish the rng of the items were better. Since the last patch, my crafter's cloth hireling has brought back crap; 1 rubedo hide, 1 corundum, 3x spider silk etc. All this with 3 skill points and level 10 in the craft grrr I use to see at least an occasional blue or purple temper item.

There are 200 messages for each profession, 100 in each character's storyline. You can read them all here.

Mine didn't turn up at all yesterday. I know it was a Sunday but I thought they worked 7 days a week. to be fair, the enchanter one brought me a kuta on Friday :)

Not sure if I need to be offline for them to work or whether they still scurry back with goodies irrespective.
